Update, 18:00: 18:00 has come and gone, the Web App is still missing – and the info page is back as well. Meanwhile, EA has already announced the POTM for La Liga – and that is before the Web App is even out. The release is likely still at 19:00!
Update, 17:15: Even at 17:00 the Web App did not come, however, something has changed: On the Web App page, you can no longer find the old information page, but the following message. You cannot build teams yet, but you can tell that something is happening.
Update, 16:50: The Web App is still not reachable, a release in the evening seems increasingly likely. So far, 19:00 continues to be the estimated time. Otherwise, 17:00 has often been a time when new content comes to FIFA – for example, the early access starts tomorrow at this time.
Update, 10:00: So far, the Web App is still not live and an official time is not yet known. However, EA announced that the TOTWs will now be announced every Wednesday at 19:00 – unlike in previous years, where it was always at 16:00. This also applies to the TOTW 1 coming today. Now some players suspect that this could also be the time of the Web App release, which would also fit with the last years. Officially, that’s not confirmed yet.
Today marks the start of the FUT season: EA Sports has officially announced that today, on September 30, the Web App for FIFA 21 is going live. As soon as this happens, you can start the new FUT 21 season and build your team, claiming daily rewards in the Web App.
The start of the Web App is therefore one day before the early access of FIFA 21 and a whole 9 days before the official release of FIFA 21.
Release time of the Web App: EA has not disclosed a specific time for the launch of the Web App in advance. Presumably to avoid a rush on the servers, as the Web App will be released worldwide at the same time.
Based on experiences from previous years, we expect a launch around 19:00 German time. As soon as we know the exact launch time, this post will be updated as soon as possible.
Download and Login – What about the Companion App?
Is a download necessary for the Web App? No, you do not need to download or install the Web App. The Web App is a desktop application that you can use in the browser on PC and mobile devices.
How does the login work? At the start of the Web App, you should expect login difficulties as the servers will likely be overloaded. The access credentials are the same as from the FUT 20 Web App.
What about the Companion App? This is the FUT 21 app for iOS and Android devices. This requires a download and should be available starting tomorrow, October 1.

The Contents of the Web App – Trading in Ultimate Team
These functions are offered by the FUT App:
- Managing FUT teams and club items
- Creating custom tactics for the active FUT team
- Completing SBCs (Squad Building Challenges)
- You can apply an “SBC protection” to players. This prevents you from accidentally using one of your important players in an SBC.
- Searching for and buying players and items on the transfer market – that is trading
- Viewing the Team of the Week (TOTW)
- Inspecting all cards, leaderboards, and other stats
- Purchasing card packs in the FUT store (with coins or FIFA points)
- Redeeming weekly rewards from Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions
- Sharing your team with a URL
- Completing objectives
- You can view your progress on the new season objectives. Some objectives can also be checked off directly via the app.
What about daily rewards? In previous years, there was a period of daily gifts in the form of coins and packs for logging into the Web App. We hope that this does not change in the FIFA 21 Web App.
