On Thursday, January 7th, the voting for the Team of the Year started. This event brings powerful cards. The TOTY in FIFA 21 is coming closer!
When does the TOTY voting start? The TOTY voting started on Thursday, January 7th, at 5 PM. The vote takes place on the EA Sports website (Here’s the link to the voting at EA Sports).
The voting phase ends on January 18th. The Team of the Year is expected to be announced later in January according to EA Sports, but a start date for the actual event has not yet been released.
In total, there are 70 nominated players from around the world. Once the TOTY is established, it will come into the game with extremely strong attributes. Possible favorites for the vote can be found in the TOTY Predictions.

When does the TOTY start? There is still no official start date for the event. Since the 2nd Headliners Team is announced for this week and the voting phase ends only on January 18th, a start is only expected after this date. It is conceivable, for example, that the following Friday, January 22nd, could be the date. However, this is not official and is purely speculation based on the available data. We will keep you updated on this.
This is what makes the TOTY: As mentioned before, the TOTY brings absolutely overpowering cards to FUT. Every year, the TOTY is highly anticipated, and many players secure their packs until the start of the event to try their luck. The chances for TOTY cards are low, but if you are lucky, you can look forward to extremely strong cards.

Additionally, in the last installment, there was another vote for the 12th man – another player who had not made it into the team of the year previously. This card was secured by Cristiano Ronaldo, who thus also became part of the TOTY.
