From now on, the TOTY defenders are available in FIFA 21. The defenders, including goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, have really strong ratings.
This is the TOTY: The “Team-of-the-Year” event has been running since last Friday and brought two rounds of players: first came the TOTY strikers, followed by the TOTY midfielders.
As of today, January 26 at 7 PM, the midfielders will be replaced in packs by the defenders and goalkeeper. And now it is also known how strong the cards are.
TOTY Defenders with strong ratings
- In the goal of the Team of the Year is Manuel Neuer from FC Bayern Munich. The goalkeeper has received a really good card with 96 overall ratings, which should be hard to overcome.
- A similarly high rating has Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk. His TOTY version is actually ideal in all areas, especially in defense and physical, van Dijk has extremely high ratings. His pace is also very good for a center-back and can be boosted into the 90s with a chemistry style.
- Sergio Ramos is the second center-back in the TOTY defense with a 96 card, which is nearly identical to the van Dijk card. He should also be very hard to get past.
- Bayern defender Alphonso Davies is also included and with his new ratings, he is one of the best left-backs in the game. His 93 card impresses mainly with insane pace (99), but can also convince with great dribbling ratings. He should enrich any team offensively as well.
- Right-back Alexander-Arnold is the Davies counterpart on the other side of the field. He may not be as fast as Davies, but he is still very quick. His 94 card shines in passing and defensive ratings.
Flashback Boateng available as SBC
This is the card: At the same time as the TOTY defenders, a Flashback card of Jerome Boateng also came into play. The center-back has received a quite good 90 card that requires you to complete three partial SBCs. Here is what the card looks like:
How to get TOTY cards: Unfortunately, there are currently only two ways to get the TOTY cards. Either you have really strong luck when opening packs and a TOTY is included – but the chance of that is very low. Or you have to strike on the transfer market. However, the prices for TOTY players in FIFA 21 are extremely high on the market and require a huge amount of coins.
