In FIFA 21 there are plenty of special cards. Here you will find some that don’t cost too much, but can strengthen your team.
These are special cards: Special cards are all the cards in FUT that are not standard Gold, Silver, or Bronze cards. So cards that come from events such as the upcoming TOTY, the current Headliners, or the weekly TOTW.
They usually bring improved stats and are also worth more on the transfer market than standard cards. Many special cards cost a huge amount of coins. In the following, we will look at a few cards that don’t cost much, but still have good stats.
What kind of cards are these? For this list, we only considered cards that cost a maximum of 30,000 coins. Keep in mind that there are also some standard cards that have great stats and are in a similar price range. You can find a selection of them here.
In this list, however, only special cards are listed. Due to the price limitation, you won’t find any endgame cards like Mbappé or Ronaldo here, but rather special cards suitable for a smaller budget. Nevertheless, depending on what kind of team you play, they can strengthen you.
James Tavernier (second Inform card)
The second Inform card of James Tavernier started at around 60,000 coins, but has now dropped to about 21,000 coins. The right-back has everything you need for this position.
He is incredibly fast, has good physical stats and decent defensive stats, which can be further enhanced with a Chem Style. Dribbling and passing stats are also strong. The only downside: As a player from the Scottish league, he is not so easy to integrate into teams. However, at least due to his English nationality, he can be somewhat reasonably linked with other players.
Yannick Carrasco (first Inform card)
The first Inform card of Carrasco is currently priced at about 30,000 coins and is definitely worth it. The Belgian is fast and skillful, has four stars on his weak foot and skill moves. As an attacking option on the left wing, he is quite useful. He also has a second TOTW card that is even stronger, but that one costs over 160,000 coins.
Ike Opara (Rulebreaker)
Opara’s Rulebreaker card has everything you wish for in a center-back. The man has the necessary pace, very good defensive and strong physical stats. Additionally, he has decent dribbling stats. If you equip him with an Anchor Chemistry Style, he plays much better than his 82 rating would suggest. The problem is that his nationality and league make him hard to fit into teams – but it also makes him cheaper. He currently costs about 27,000 coins.
Manuel Akanji (first Inform card)
Akanji was recently featured in the TOTW and brings a card that looks quite similar to Opara’s. In the key defensive areas, Akanji has good stats and is easier to link as a Dortmund player from the Bundesliga. If equipped with Anchor or Shadow, he is likely to be a very good alternative in the Bundesliga. Currently, his card costs about 30,000 coins. By the way: He also has an 84 RTTF card that is even better, but costs over 200,000 coins.
Achraf Hakimi (Ones to Watch)
Are you looking for an incredibly fast winger on the right side? Then Hakimi could be an option, who can also work well defensively. His OTW card is currently valued at 85 overall and costs around 30,000 coins. The nice thing is: The card could further improve as he receives TOTW cards.
Salif Sané (Freeze)
Salif Sané does not have an absolute endgame card, his stats look rather average. However, the Freeze variant should not be underestimated in defense. If you equip Sané with a Shadow, he becomes an extremely good option at CDM or CB when you command him to defend in-game. An underrated advantage is also his height: In aerial duels, Sané is hard to beat. Overall, a card that could positively surprise you in Bundesliga teams.
Really strong special cards will soon be brought by the Team of the Year. Many players expected that Thomas Müller would be an option for the TOTY – but the Bayern attacker is missing from the TOTY nominees.
