Axel Witsel has a pretty good Flashback card in FIFA 21. But is it worth getting the strong card in FIFA 21?
This is the Witsel card: Axel Witsel is at the center of Borussia Dortmund and is already rated quite well as a gold card. It is also suitable for Bundesliga starter teams. Now Witsel has received an interesting Flashback card that recalls old performances. And it has exciting stats.
Overall, Witsel has received an upgrade from a total of 84 to a total of 86. However, not all individual stats have increased, some have even decreased. Speed has gone up a whopping 19 points, and there are 6 extra points for dribbling. Additionally, Witsel gets a whole ten additional points for shooting but loses 8 in defense. He gets an upgrade of 5 points in passing stats, while physicality drops by six points.
Overall, the card is noticeably stronger than the gold card, especially offensively it is more useful. But is it really worth it?
Witsel SBC is only for the big coin purse
How to get the card: Witsel can be obtained through a special Flashback SBC, where you need to exchange three teams. At the end of FIFA 20, Witsel received such a card, which was considered “absurdly cheap”. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the new one.
You need to exchange the following:
- a 84-rated team with 70 chemistry
- another 84-rated team with at least 65 chemistry
- And an 85-rated team, with at least 50 chemistry and a TOTW player.
Especially at the start of FIFA, these are very high requirements. After all, many players are still playing with starter teams, for top players you need extreme luck. Such requirements are hardly manageable for most players.
On futbin, the entire SBC is currently valued at about 150,000 coins. This is the value you need for the teams to exchange if you were to buy them completely new (via futbin). This would make the new Witsel card one of the most expensive cards in the Bundesliga.
Is it worth it? Undeniably, the card is really good. But the price seems too high, especially at the start of the season. A similar problem was also faced by the POTM card of Calvert-Lewin. Players are commenting on reddit, for example:
- “That’s so expensive,” says user Ostarah (via reddit).
- “Dude, 85? My team isn’t even at 82,” comments another user (via reddit).
- “I was excited to finish this. But damn, these requirements are a bit much. An 84 and 85 would have been enough,” says user literallyHakeem (via reddit).
At the same time, some players also point out the really good stats of the card. So, if someone had crazy pack luck or has accumulated a huge pile of coins through trading, they might consider the card. It is expected to be a really strong choice in the Bundesliga midfield in the coming weeks. But those who are still at the very beginning of the season – like most players – will hardly be able to afford this card.
