As part of the new update for FIFA 21, data miners found an interesting error message in the code. This refers to country restrictions for Ultimate Team.
Today, on December 8th, Title Update 7 for FIFA 21 was released for the PC version already. Alongside the adjustments mainly concerning referee logic, data miners have made an exciting discovery in FIFA 21’s code.
What was found? Via Twitter, the FUT site FUT Watch drew attention to a new error message in the FIFA code. They found an error message that provides the following content:
“FIFA Ultimate Team is currently unavailable due to a request from the authorities in your region.”
However, these are the only information currently found in the code. There are no further details regarding the alleged error message as of now.
Therefore, please keep in mind that this message is not official and could just be a placeholder.
Ultimate Team with problems in multiple countries
The Ultimate Team mode of FIFA is repeatedly criticized due to gambling mechanics. For instance, in the Netherlands, a penalty for loot boxes in FIFA 21 was imposed only in October .
In Belgium, the sale of packs in FIFA has been completely banned for several years. However, there has been no ban on Ultimate Team in an entire region so far.
This is what EA says: So far, the developer has not commented on the alleged error message in the code of FIFA 21. However, we have asked EA for a statement and will keep you updated.
You can also be successful in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team and have a strong team without spending real money on packs. This has been successfully proven this year by FIFA professional Tim Latka.
