In FIFA 21, on November 20, Icon SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) are finally back in the game. We will show you which icons are available.
What are Icon SBCs? Icon SBCs are Squad Building Challenges that allow you to unlock Icon cards in FUT. They were known from previous installments. To obtain a legend here, a long and hard grind was always required, which many players have wished for FIFA 21 – now it is finally possible.
When does it start? The Icon SBCs are now available in FUT 21. However, in contrast to the long-term grind, you need to hurry; in 29 days, the first Icon SBCs will disappear again, and you will only be able to buy the Icon cards on the transfer market or pull them from packs.

These icons can be unlocked via SBC
These Icon SBCs are available: The first Icon SBCs in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team offer only 3 players. Luis Figo (90) is the strongest card overall, while Van der Sar and Zanetti provide alternatives in defense.
- RV: Zanetti (88) – Mid Icon
- RF: Figo (90) – Mid Icon
- TW: Van der Sar (87) – Base Icon
How expensive are the cards? To complete the various SBCs, you need to invest quite a few coins and strong players. For the Figo SBC, for example, a total of 9 SBC tasks must be completed. In the final tasks, an 88-rated and a 89-rated team must be submitted.
So it is definitely not cheap, but at least there are packs as rewards for completing the individual SBC tasks.
New cards coming with new season
What’s new: The Icon SBCs are not the only new content this Friday. In FUT 21, the new Season 2 brings fresh tasks and also new objective players.
