When does the event start? The event started on October 27. Instead of the usual 7 PM starts, the Black Friday event begins at 3 PM.
Update, November 27, 3:00 PM: The Black Friday event takes a special role. The Best of TOTW was already in packs on Thursday evening, and the entire event started earlier in the afternoon. From now on, the contents of the event are active.
What’s included in Black Friday?
Traditionally, Black Friday revolves around special offers, and this is also the case in FIFA. Typically, there are special packs available on Black Friday that are not usually obtainable. Additionally, there are contents such as:
- Lightning Rounds, special packs that are only available worldwide in limited quantities and for a short time.
- Promo Packs, which are rare in the game.
- Flash SBCs, Squad Building Challenges that are only available for a short time. You can exchange teams for special rewards there.
- Special tasks that can earn you rewards.
Price-reduced packs were not available at least last year – which caused criticism of the event.
Record Breakers in packs: In Ultimate Team, a new loading screen announced 5 Record-Breaker cards that were supposed to appear in packs. They became available on Friday afternoon as well.
The Record Breakers are cards that revolve around the respective players’ records. EA Sports lists the following records:
- Mbappé scored 10 goals in the Champions League as the youngest player (December 2017).
- David Silva achieved 200 wins in the Premier League as the fastest player (Autumn 2019).
- Jadon Sancho is the youngest player to reach 30 Bundesliga goals (May 2020).
- Falcao scored the most goals in a single Europa League season (May 2011).
- Oscar provided the most assists in a single season of CSL (October 2018).
The best TOTW players are back: The Black Friday follows the patterns of previous years and brings a “Best of TOTW” with it. However, this has actually been available in packs since Thursday evening at 7 PM and will remain until December 1. EA Sports announced via Twitter which players are featured in the Best of TOTW:
It remains to be seen whether a market crash will occur. In the past, Black Friday caused falling market prices, which has been decreasing over the last few years. Additionally, the market is already very low this year and many players are available at low prices.
