Leon Goretzka (TOTW)
Costs: approx. 260,000
The Bayern midfielder is one of those players who has no stat below 80 on his card. This shows that Goretzka can basically do everything. He will keep your opponents away from your goal in midfield while also creating danger offensively. He also has a good stamina value, which allows Goretzka to hold up for long stretches of the game.
However, it should be noted that this card was once much cheaper and went for under 200,000 coins. But it has steadily increased over the past few weeks and is now at about 260,000. It may be worth keeping an eye on the price before you buy.
Bruno Fernandes (TOTW)
Costs: approx. 263,000
The Manchester conductor in offensive midfield is one of the players with the most special cards in FIFA 21. However, while his Headliners or even TOTY card are noticeably above the one million mark, you can now get his 88-rated TOTW card for about 260,000 coins.
The Portuguese player is ideal for Premier League teams but can also provide links to other strong players. A big advantage is his 95 stamina, as well as the great finishing and creating danger.
Marcos Llorente
Costs: approx. 236,000
Llorente’s Gold card was one of the most feared meta cards at the start of FIFA 21, and his Inform cards also offer fantastic stats. His second Inform card, which is positioned in the right midfield, is particularly interesting.
Actually, Llorente showcases his strengths mainly in the center, where he can act as a destroyer, conductor, and offensive threat at the same time. It can therefore be worthwhile to place him on the right wing for better chemistry values, but then to swap him into the center during the game with a player.
Wilfried Zaha (Headliners)
Costs: approx. 240,000
Zaha’s Headliners card used to be higher, around 350,000 coins. However, it has since dropped a bit, but this may not stay that way. The Headliners card improves with four consecutive wins of his real club, or when he receives an Inform card.
Zaha already has two of those, which is why this card is now already at 87. The attacker is always good for a TOTW nomination… so it cannot be excluded that the pace dribbler may become even stronger than he already is.
Andrea Pirlo
Costs: approx. 260,000
Many players will not have Pirlo on their radar due to his relatively low pace, but his pace value in central midfield is more than enough. Moreover, he definitely compensates for this perceived weakness with many other points.
Pirlo is one of the best passers in the game and also has very good dribbling stats. With his 5-star skills, he has no problem maneuvering around opponents in midfield and then executing a deadly pass forward. He also has fantastic free kicks in his repertoire.
Of course, the usefulness of icons always depends on the type of team you play. Here you will find the overview of all icons in FIFA 21 if you are looking for something different.
