With the Future Stars event, the new objective “Future of Football” featuring U23 players in FIFA 21 has arrived. The series brings a Rare Player Pack, but you should hurry up.
What are these objectives? The “Future of Football” highlights young talents in FIFA 21. You need to use players under 23 years old to complete several sub-objectives and secure the rewards.
How long do the objectives run? The objectives will only last until Friday evening, leading up to the start of the new season. Since the Future Stars event is set to continue with a second team, it’s possible that another U23 objective series will appear then. But those who want to complete the current series must do so beforehand. So you should hurry.
These rewards are available: For each individual objective, there is a two-Rare-Gold-Players pack. The grand prize is a Rare Player Pack, which normally costs 50,000 coins. It belongs to the stronger packs in FIFA 21.
Thus, it is worth completing the objectives. However, there are a few difficulties.
Problems with U23 Player List
What needs to be done: In total, there are four sections to complete.
- Talents: Play in 4 separate Squad Battles matches (minimum on Professional) or Rivals with U23 players, while having at least 6 U23 players in the starting lineup.
- Goal Series: Score 8 goals with U23 players in Squad Battles (minimum on Professional) or Rivals while having at least 6 U23 players in the starting lineup.
- Looking to the Future: Assist 5 goals with U23 players in Squad Battles (minimum on Professional) or Rivals while having at least 6 U23 players in the starting lineup.
- The Future is Here: Win 5 Squad Battles matches (minimum on Semi-Pro) while having at least 6 U23 players in the starting lineup.
Basically, you just need to win some matches in Squad Battles or Rivals with suitable players in your team. To make this happen quickly, here are some gameplay tips:
You can find the age of your players by looking at the FUT cards in the detail view. To quickly see who is suitable, EA has published a player list which you can find under this link: Here is the EA Sports player list (via EA Sports).
These problems exist: Players have reported problems with the objectives both on the FIFA subreddit and on the EA Forum. For some players, their goals were not counted, or the counter did not increase despite supposedly suitable players.
The reason seems to be the special versions of the players used. Players report that for example, Future Stars cards with better stats than those from the list did not work. However, the normal base cards of the players provided the desired counts.
Those who want to still complete the objectives should rely on the base cards of the players and, for safety, check after the first game whether everything is being counted as intended.
Some players are using silver players to simultaneously complete the “Silver Experts” objectives, where they could win further packs.
