What kind of team is this? Serie A may not have as many top players as the Premier League, but you will find a few really good footballers here with whom you can build great teams. The crown of Serie A is Cristiano Ronaldo – the legendary player is under contract with Juventus.
The chance of getting such strong cards as Ronaldo is low, but as the season progresses, your team will get better and with smart trading and regular SBCs, you can build a killer team in Serie A in the coming weeks and months, even without the Portuguese superstar.

Good Serie A team for few coins
What players are in the team? A budget team can provide you with a 5-star skiller in attack and a strong free-kick taker. For all these players, stronger upgrade players are available that you can acquire for 3,000 – 6,000 coins to improve the team. Only the Croatian Rebic stands out a bit, but he is a fantastic card for the start.
As of now (October 10), the team costs less than 20,000 coins and provides a good foundation to achieve your first victories in the FUT modes. However, prices may fluctuate, and many weaker cards tend to get cheaper over time. You shouldn’t spend much more than is stated here for the players.
Pau López Sabata: Goalkeeper for 1,800 coins – The keeper could use a bit more pace when coming out, but otherwise brings stable values to your goal.
Aleksandar Kolarov: Left back for 2,000 coins – With Kolarov, you not only get a strong defender on your left side but also your set-piece taker. The somewhat grey-haired Inter player may not be the fastest anymore, but he can be very helpful on free kicks.
Nicolas Nkoulou: Centre-back for 1,800 coins – The Cameroonian doesn’t perform wonders in defense but does solid work for the price you pay.
Chris Smalling: Centre-back for 1,700 coins – The former United player is contracted with Roma and provides good defense values in FIFA 21 for his price.
Kévin Malcuit: Right back for 1,100 coins – The small right-back is available cheaply and offers stable values in almost all attributes. Only his shooting leaves something to be desired.
Adrien Rabiot: Center midfielder for 1,100 coins – The Frenchman from PSG’s youth currently earns his bread at Juve and can be a support in midfield at the start. He is neither really weak nor really good. However, he is a prime example of a budget starter player in FUT.
Piotr Zieliński: Center midfielder for 1,300 coins – The Pole is more offensively oriented than Rabiot and scores with over 80 values in dribbling and passing. However, he is physically a bit weaker.
Federico Bernardeschi: Attacking midfielder for 800 coins – With the Juve player, you bring some flair to the team. The budget offensive player is one of the 5-star dribblers and is fun in the midfield. Another great and really affordable player for the start.
Robin Gosens: Left winger for 1,800 coins – The German national player brings decent pace and physical strength.
Manuel Lazzari: Right winger for 1,000 coins – With the Italian, you get high speed paired with decent dribbling skills for only 1,000 coins on the right. However, his other values leave something to be desired.
Ante Rebic: Forward for 2,900 coins – The former Frankfurt player is the most expensive player on the team but is a must-have for starter teams in Serie A. He can push through well, has a fine shot, can dribble, and offers 84 acceleration and 91 pace.
Gian Piero Gasperini: Manager for 1,000 coins – You can acquire the coach of Atalanta Bergamo cheaply and complete your team.
Upgrade tips: Quickly look for new centre-backs, as you are rather weak in this area with the team, but the better alternatives start at 3,000 – 6,000 coins.
Cheap legends: Serie A still offers you a few aging superstars that you should definitely take a look at:
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic for 1,400 coins – The veteran is already 39, but continues to play hard at Milan and provides you with a shot value of 88. But only 52 in speed.
- Franck Ribéry for 800 coins – The Frenchman is also already 37 but can impress with his values, especially for 800 coins. With his 5-star dribbling skills, he is still a good choice.
Be stingy with your coins at the beginning and stack up more cash each week. Hoard cards and keep an eye out for suitable SBCs that offer you strong special cards that might otherwise be unreachable. Always look for cheap opportunities on the transfer market to strengthen your team.
