The FIFA 21 ratings are about to be released. However, this year seems to be different from what we’ve seen in the previous editions.

When are the FIFA 21 ratings coming? As EA Sports announced on Twitter, at least the first ratings will be presented on Thursday, September 10. The release is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
FIFA 21 ratings without Top 100? That the first ratings are presented before the game’s launch is nothing new. However, in recent years, EA Sports always used a Top 100, usually with a countdown to the best players.
This year, however, EA Sports released the ratings teaser not with the Top 100 theme, but under the motto “The Ratings Collective”. You can see the teaser here:
FIFA 21 Ratings Collective – Do Talents Matter?
This can be seen in the teaser: In the FIFA 21 Ratings Collective trailer, some of the FIFA 21 ambassadors like super talent Erling Haaland, Joao Felix, and cover star Kylian Mbappé can be seen. In addition, brief cards of players like Steven Bergwijn, Rodrygo, Mason Mount, Phil Foden, and Theo Hernandez are shown.
If you look closely, you can even recognize a few ratings briefly:
- Mount seems to have an 80 in the trailer
- Rodrygo is at 79
- Bergwijn at 83
What connects these players? All these players can still be considered talents, none of them is older than 22 years. Just before the teaser reveal, EA Sports also posted graphics of Mount, Hernandez, Rodrygo, and Sergiño Dest – also a young talent playing for Ajax Amsterdam – and asked how the ratings for these players should look.
So the “Ratings Collective” seems to revolve around a group of talented players. It will be exciting to see if it is indeed these players that will receive their ratings on Thursday. It is also unclear how many player ratings EA Sports will release on Thursday.
It is also possible that “Ratings Collective” and “Top 100” do not exclude each other, and the best players will be announced at a later time. For context: Last year, the weakest player in the Top 100, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, had a rating of 85. Players like Mount, Rodrygo, or Bergwijn are all likely to be rated below 85, even if their ratings turn out to be higher than they seem in the trailer.
