There is new information about the next-gen versions of FIFA 21 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. EA Sports reveals a date and more details.
Next month, the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will be released.
- The PS5 will be released on November 19 in Germany (in some other markets already on November 12).
- The Xbox Series X will be released worldwide on November 10.
These consoles are expected to receive their own improved versions of FIFA 21. And now we know when that will be.
When will the next-gen versions of FIFA 21 be released? In a tweet, EA Sports has now announced that the next-gen versions of FIFA 21 will be released on December 4 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Interestingly, until the release of the next-gen versions, players can first play the old versions (PS4 and Xbox One) on the next-gen consoles.
So you can play the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 21 on the new PlayStation 5 and download the free next-gen upgrade on December 4.

What is new in the next-gen versions? The FIFA 21 versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X are expected to receive several new features. EA has announced these optimizations:
- The haptic feedback of the PS5 DualSense controller will be supported
- Blazing fast load times
- Improved lighting, rendering, and animation technology
- Humanization off the ball
- Enhanced audio effects
However, the PC version will not receive an upgrade and will continue to correspond to the old version.
