In FIFA 21 there will be a number of new icons. In the context of a deal with AC and Inter Milan, two new legends may have come to light.
What kind of deal is this? EA Sports has secured exclusive partnerships with AC Milan and Inter Milan. This includes players as well as the legendary San Siro stadium, which both teams use. They will likely be extensively represented in FIFA 21 – you can find all information about FIFA 21 here.
With this, both Italian teams will likely not be in question for a step that Juventus Turin took: The club of Cristiano Ronaldo took the reverse path before the launch of FIFA 20 to Pro Evolution Soccer. The club has since been named “Piemonte Calcio” in the FIFA series.
The deal was announced by EA with the help of two trailers that refer to the history of the clubs. Many well-known and strong players are shown – and in the Inter trailer, even two who attract special attention.
Eto’o and Maicon in the trailer – are they in FIFA 21?
This is shown in the Inter trailer: In the new trailer, we see many celebration scenes from Inter players, as well as a brief glimpse into the animated team from FIFA 21. Here you can watch the trailer:
Those who look closely can briefly see two players who were not in FIFA recently. Namely Samuel Eto’o and Maicon.
Samuel Eto’o drew attention during his active time as a strong striker. The attacker won the Champions League multiple times – including with Inter, but also with FC Barcelona. His last high special card comes from FIFA 18, even though his prime time was already over by then. He ended his career in 2019.
Maicon is also briefly seen in the trailer as he celebrates with the crowd. The right-back also won the Champions League with Inter and had stints at Manchester City and AS Roma. He also represented the Brazilian national team.
It should be noted, however, that neither player is visible in gameplay segments. Officially confirmed, like Eric Cantona, for example, they are not yet.
