For FIFA 21 Ultimate Team, EA has revealed more icons. In total, there are now supposed to be 100, including two German World Cup heroes. We show you which icons are new to the game.
These 2014 World Cup heroes are included: In addition to the existing German icon cards of Ballack, Lehmann, Matthäus, and Klose, two heroes from the 2014 World Cup are joining FIFA 21 – these are:
- Bastian Schweinsteiger
- Philipp Lahm
Many FUT players are likely to be excited about these two Bayern and national team legends. Because especially Lahm has been among the most sought-after icons by fans for years.
But Schweinsteiger is likely to become popular as well. His top card in FUT 20 was certainly, especially at the beginning of FUT 20, really strong and featured prominently in many teams.
These are all new icons in FIFA 21
These icon cards are new to the game: In FIFA 21, there will be a whole series of new icons. In total, according to EA there will be 100, which will presumably, as in previous years, each receive at least 3 different versions.
The new legends in FIFA 21 are:
- Xavi
- Nemanja Vidic
- Fernando Torres
- Bastian Schweinsteiger
- Ferenc Puskás
- Philipp Lahm
- Samuel Eto’o
- Davor Šuker
- Ashley Cole
- Petr Čech
- Eric Cantona
If it goes like in previous years, then there will be legends in the following versions:
- Base icon
- Middle icon
- Prime icon
Where at a later date, the particularly strong Prime Moments icons could be presented. This is how it happened in FIFA 20.
How strong will the new icon cards be? So far, nothing is known about the ratings of the various versions. EA Sports will likely release this information just before the release of FIFA 21.
How can you obtain the new icon cards? With a massive dose of luck, it will certainly be possible again in FIFA 21 to draw icon cards from packs. But since that only happens in the rarest of cases, it’s more exciting how to earn icon cards in FUT 21.
However, whether there will be icon swaps in FIFA 21 to obtain the icon cards is still not known. Many fans would also be happy about a return of the former icon SBCs, where you needed a lot of coins but had the freedom to choose which icons you wanted to grind.
