This is the problem: Anyone currently wanting to start an online match in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team or Volta sees the following message instead of a starting match: “Joining a match is temporarily disabled. Sorry, this should be possible again shortly. Please try again later.” Matches are currently not possible.

When can you play again? As announced by the “FIFA Direct Communication” channel on Twitter, scheduled maintenance is currently being carried out. This is set to last from 08:00 AM (German time) to 11:00 AM late in the morning.
Creating matches has already been disabled half an hour earlier. Besides FIFA 21, the titles FIFA 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 are affected.
While players can generally still access the game and can engage in trading on the transfer market in FUT, for example, proper matches should only be possible again from 11:00 AM German time.

Lastly, the qualification for the Weekend League is also currently ongoing. You can collect points in Division Rivals as usual to participate on the weekend. The Weekend League is currently more worthwhile than usual. Since the start of Team of the Year, the strong TOTS cards are in the Weekend League rewards.
