In FIFA 21 two new league SBCs are now available. However, the rewards are weaker than usual and frustrate the community.
These are league SBCs: These SBCs involve special tasks where you have to complete a partial SBC for each team within a league. Each challenge brings individual rewards, and completing the entire league SBC then brings special rewards.
These were always very popular in previous FIFA editions, as you could collect players over a long period to get rid of them in the SBC. The rewards were usually worth it, as the packs often brought enough return to recoup the investment. And at the end, there was a special player as an overall prize. Spoiler: This time it is not the case.
The first league SBCs in FIFA 21 were special Conmebol challenges, which were deactivated shortly after release. They are back now.
Now tasks for the French Ligue 1 and the Saudi Professional League have come in. However, instead of bringing joy to players who have been waiting for league SBCs, frustration sets in. Because the rewards are much worse than expected.
SBCs do not entice with exciting rewards
This is the problem: Whereas previously you could sell the rewards from the league packs on the transfer market through trading and earn coins, now many of the rewards are untradeable.
This is evident from the France SBC: Of the 20 partial SBCs in the Ligue 1 challenge, only half are equipped with tradeable rewards that you could convert into coins.

The remaining 10 SBCs all deliver untradeable rewards, which are therefore valueless on the transfer market. Thus, coins are not easily gathered. To get strong players that fit into the team or at least contribute to difficult SBCs, you need a lot of luck.
Additionally, there are no special player cards as overall rewards. As a final reward, you receive a rare Gold Players Pack (small) and a Jumbo Premium Gold Players Pack for Ligue 1. For the Saudi Professional League, there’s a Rare Gold Players Pack. All three packs are untradeable. On reddit, a player compares the new SBCs to earlier editions – and he’s not exactly happy:
The rewards were simply worth much more than in the new version. Additionally, the SBCs are now equipped with time limits. Ligue 1 and the Saudi Professional League will disappear again in 31 days at current rates.
Overall, the mood in the FIFA subreddit regarding the new SBCs is poor. In several posts (via reddit) players are frustrated about the many untradeable rewards and missing player picks. Additionally, there is no way to secure duplicate untradeable rewards that you already have in your club – and then you still have to get rid of the players you received for free. Players wish at least for a way to secure duplicates (via reddit).
The new league SBCs are less worthwhile in their current form than before and face little support. After the deactivation of the first league SBCs, players had hoped that the following SBCs would feature better rewards than the Conmebol variants. However, this does not appear to be the case at current rates. Recently, a new task in FIFA 21 also caused anger.
