The new Icon Swaps 3 in FIFA 21 impress with strong rewards that allow for good legends. “Finally,” many players feel.
These are the Icon Swaps 3: The third round of the Icon Swap was released on May 10 and presents players with a new set of tasks. Completing these earns “Icon Swap Tokens.” These tokens can then be exchanged for the various rewards, which are really strong this time. The list looks as follows:

In total, you can earn 18 tokens, of which 9 are currently available. The second half will be added at a later date. The crucial point is that even 18 tokens are not enough to obtain all rewards – you will have to choose. And that is not easy for the players this time.
“Why couldn’t Icon Swaps always be at this wow level?”
This is different this time: The second Icon Swaps batch caused criticism among some players. The icons offered there were not strong enough for the effort put into the tasks compared to the packs that could be obtained for relatively few tokens.
This time, however, the Icon Swaps offer a strong mix of good icon cards, icon packs, and player packs, which give hope for strong cards. Essentially, there is something for everyone, which is well received, including in the FIFA subreddit (via reddit).

- “Compared to what we had before, this is absolutely great. Finally, a chance for casuals to actually get something,” another commented (via reddit).
- “Oh my god, as an Arsenal fan this is great and heartbreaking. I have to take Vieira, but I’ll miss out on so many delicious options,” a third user saw a little dilemma ahead (via reddit).
Some players emphasize how difficult it is to decide this time. One can wonderfully take the strong packs for few tokens – after all, they currently offer a good chance for TOTS cards. But that can also backfire, resulting in just mediocre cards.
Then there’s the possibility of Icon Packs or Player Picks. Here, one has the chance to pull really strong icons that are even better than the “safe” icons from the swaps. On the other hand, there’s also a chance to get comparatively weak icons, and then to have spent a lot of tokens.
And lastly, there are the safe icons, which are actually very useful this time. Players like Puskas, Ferdinand, or Vieira are real top cards, and Best, Stoichkov, and Schweinsteiger can improve many teams.
