In FIFA 21, two exciting events have started with Freeze and Icon Swaps. MeinMMO provides you with all the information.
When do FIFA 21 Freeze and Icon Swaps start? Both events began on Friday evening, December 11, at 7:00 PM.
What are these events? Freeze replaces the well-known Futmas event, although its content is inspired by the Christmas classic. Icon Swaps should be familiar to most from last year – it’s all about legends!
We will show you what the events have to offer.
What’s included in Icon Swaps 1
This is how the event works: As known from the previous “Icon Swap”, you must complete certain tasks. If you succeed, you will receive Icon Swaps tokens as a reward. You can then exchange these for selected icon cards and pack rewards.
The nice thing is: You can only get icons through playing and do not have to spend any coins. The first tasks take place in friendly matches and Squad Battles. So far, icons are not played for in Rivals.
These icons are available: In Icon Swaps 1, a total of 6 icons are available. They are:
- Thierry Henry (90) – Needs 17 tokens
- Rijkaard (90) – Needs 14 tokens
- Koeman (91) – Needs 13 tokens
- Suker (87) – Needs 11 tokens
- Hagi (89) – Needs 9 tokens
- Vidic (85) – Needs 7 tokens.
Even more great rewards: While fewer icons are directly available compared to previous Icon Swaps, there are also more pack rewards and some of them are really good. Here are some examples:
- For 2 swap tokens, you get 2 Ultimate Packs
- For 3 tokens, you get a pack with 5 players who have at least 85 overall
- For 8 tokens, you get a base icon pack with a random base icon
- For 10 tokens, you get 1 pack that contains either a base or mid icon.
- For 16 tokens, you get a mid icon pack, where the icon has at least 89.
If you have no interest in any of the 6 direct icons, you can try your luck here. After all, the first Prime Icons are now also included in packs.
What’s included in the FIFA 21 Freeze event
This is how Freeze works: The event is based on the contents of the old Futmas event, just without the Christmas flair.
As known from Futmas, there will be daily changing SBCs. Every day, FUT will offer a specific player SBC and a new puzzle SBC. Here, you can exchange players for rewards. Weekly tasks will also be included.
But that’s not all. There’s also a special Freeze team that has been equipped with new positions and adjusted stats to match. You can find the entire team here in the overview:
There are some strong cards included. If you’re looking for cards from the Bundesliga, you will find a forward version of Thorgan Hazard and a CDM version of Salif Sané.
