In FIFA 21, the Headliners event has started. But what can the new special cards do and which players are included? We take a look at the promo and reveal which players have received Headliners cards.
What are Headliners cards? Headliners cards are dynamic special cards that improve like Ones-To-Watch cards as soon as the respective player makes it to a Team of the Week or receives another performance-based special card.
The following rules apply:
- The Headliners card is always one point stronger than the player’s last Inform card.
- After 4 league wins in a row, the Headliners card receives a one-time upgrade.
In selecting players, EA relies on football players who have shown strong performances in the first half of the season and thus made headlines – “Headliner players”.
When does the event start exactly? The event started on January 1, 2021, at 7:00 PM. Since then, the new special cards have been available in packs.
What does that mean for the TOTY event? Many FUT players expected the TOTY event (Team of the Year) at the end of the year. The fact that the Headliners event appears first is a surprise.
Therefore, the TOTY event is likely to appear after the Headliners event, in the coming weeks.
What cards does the Headliners event bring?
What cards does the event bring? The event brings really strong special cards into play. Notably strong cards here are those of Bruno Fernandes (91), Fabinho (88), Ben Yedder (87), and Joao Felix (86).
The Bundesliga players are included: Real Bundesliga stars are not represented in the first Headliners team yet. However, the cards of Hradecky (86) and Hinteregger (85) look good, especially since they still have the potential to become stronger.

What other content is available? The Headliners event brings new special cards as well as new SBC players and objective players.
