In FIFA 21 a new round of the Weekend League has started today. And thanks to the TOTS event in Ultimate Team, it’s really worthwhile again.
The problem with the Weekend League was: Usually, the Weekend League rewards include various packs and coins that can be earned through victories. The more you win, the higher you rank and receive better rewards.
These rewards also include the red Player Picks, from which you usually get a selection of players from the current TOTW. However, the problem recently has been that the TOTW could barely keep up with the many special cards in FIFA 21. Therefore, the Weekend League rewards felt weaker than they should have at times.
But now the TOTS event is starting in FIFA 21. And thus, the Weekend League rewards will noticeably improve.
Here are the new Weekend League rewards for Team of the Season
This is how TOTS changes the rewards: Instead of TOTW players, the upcoming Weekend League rewards on Thursday will feature the current Team of the Season cards. So, anyone who reaches a sufficiently high rank in the Weekend League can look forward to Player Picks, in which the cards will largely have very strong ratings.
Since the TOTS teams change weekly, there will also be different rewards each week. The distribution of Player Picks among the ranks is as follows:
- From Silver 3 rank onwards, all TOTW items in Player Picks will be replaced by TOTS items.
- For the Silver 2 and 3 ranks, there is a rating limit for the picks. They can have a maximum rating of 88. This restriction will be lifted from Silver 1 onwards.
- From Gold 2 onwards, each player selection will contain at least one item from the “stronger” TOTS currently available in packs. At the start of the event, these are EFL TOTS and Community TOTS. In this case, it will be a guaranteed Community Pick.
- From Elite 3 onwards, the premium TOTW packs will be replaced by a TOTS pack with 3 players from the stronger TOTS.
- In the Top 100, the Ultimate TOTW pack will be replaced by a TOTS pack with 11 players from the stronger TOTS.
From now on, it makes sense to aim for high ranks in the Weekend League again and improve your team with the rewards. Those looking for reinforcements already should check the transfer market in FIFA 21 – it’s currently crashing.
