The FIFA 21 “Top 1000 Ratings” are here, but there are a lot of errors in the database. EA says they are already working on it.
Here are the Top 1000 Ratings: After EA Sports published the Top 100 Ratings, these initially laid the foundation for the previous ratings. Additional ratings like lists of the fastest players or talents with potential were added.
Now the database has been expanded to a “Top 1000” even before the FIFA 21 release – a step that many fans have been waiting for. But anyone who looks at the database quickly sees: Something is not right.
Top 1000 Ratings are a big mess
Here’s the problem: After the values from the first ratings caused surprises – and the Bayern ratings received criticism – the Top 1000 is full of errors.
- Some players are still not with the right club. James Rodriguez, who now plays for FC Everton, is still shown with his old club Real Madrid.
- All cards are displayed as rare Gold cards – even those like Trincao, from the talent list we already know should actually have a Standard Gold card.
- The skill moves are apparently completely messed up.
The last point has caused the most discussion. A player like Ousmane Dembélé, who has already been confirmed as a 5-star skiller in FIFA 21, suddenly only has 2 stars. Meanwhile, Gianluigi Buffon has a total of 4 stars – as a goalkeeper. There are plenty of such examples. Clearly: Something does not add up here.

EA is already responding: After many fans expressed their views on the matter, EA’s communication channel also responded on Twitter.
They are aware of the “inaccuracies” regarding some of the players and are working on possible solutions. This will indeed be a mistake, and not as some have feared, simply very inaccurate ratings.
So we have to wait and see how exactly the Top 1000 will change in the coming days. Currently, it is unclear whether the other values of the cards will also be adjusted. The Top 1000 is already the second controversy within a few days – the announcement that there will be no demo for FIFA 21 caused skepticism.
