Emil Forsberg has received a new SBC in FIFA 21. He can serve as an asset for Bundesliga teams. But is the price worth it?
This is the card: Emil Forsberg from RB Leipzig has received a “Player Moments card” inspired by his double against Benfica in the Champions League season 19/20. This already serves as a preview for the RTTF event starting on Friday.
The special card represents a significant upgrade over Forsberg’s standard card. It increases by a total of 7 points in overall rating, due to substantial jumps in all areas.
- 13 extra points were awarded for speed
- 9 for dribbling
- Shot increases by a full 14 points
- Defense by 13
- Passing values increase by 7 points
- And there are 10 additional points for physicality
Overall, it is a significant improvement. But is it worth it to complete the SBC?
This is how expensive the Forsberg SBC is
This is required for the SBC: In the Squad Building Challenge, you need to submit two teams.
- The first challenge requires an 84-rated team with 80 team chemistry and at least one Bundesliga player.
- In the second challenge, you must exchange an 85-rated team with 65 team chemistry and one Team of the Week player.
If you were to buy all the players for the challenge, the first part would cost you about 30,000 coins, while the second could be around 70,000. Thus, the new Forsberg card costs about 100,000 coins. You really need a lot of successful trading.
Is it worth it? The Forsberg card is definitely to be considered strong. Especially in the Bundesliga, it fits in very well. With 4 stars on the weak foot and 4-star skills, Forsberg is versatile, and the stats are also strong.
However, the price of the SBC is set very high. 100,000 coins are not just earned, and there are some players in the Bundesliga who can take on similar roles. One alternative is the Story Sabitzer card, which can be obtained for free through season progression and completing objectives.
Another option for CAM is also the standard card of Marco Reus, who has an overall value of 85 and is slightly weaker than Forsberg but currently only costs about 24,000 coins.
The Forsberg card is only worth it if you really want the upgrade for that position or currently have a lot of coins to spare. It looks a bit different if you have unused or untradeable players in your club that fit for the SBCs and you only need to buy a fraction of the challenge anew. In that case, it might be worth it – although you will have to give up quite a bit of your SBC fodder.
