The Weekend League is the toughest but also the most lucrative mode in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team. Here you will find all the info about FUT Champions.
What is the Weekend League? The Weekend League is where the games of the FUT Champions mode are played. It happens – as the name suggests – always on the weekend.
30 matches against other Weekend League participants are scheduled, where the number of wins determines the rank and the rewards.
This is what we know so far about the Weekend League in FUT 21
This is new in the Weekend League in FIFA 21: A significant change compared to the Weekend League in FUT 20 is: The Top 100 will be expanded to a Top 200.
There, the strongest Weekend League players in the world will end up and receive the best rewards of the competition.
When does the first Weekend League in FUT 21 start? The first Weekend League in FIFA 21 starts on 16.10., exactly one week after the release. Here you can find everything about the first Weekend League.
How do you qualify? To qualify for the Weekend League for the first time, you need to collect FUT Champions points – 2,000 points to be exact. You receive these by playing Division Rivals matches. The higher the division you play in, the more FUT Champions points you earn per match. So it’s worthwhile to aim for a high placement.
Once you have gathered the points, you can redeem them for a one-time entry into the Weekend League. However, for each subsequent Weekend League, 2,000 FUT Champions points will also be required each time.
There is, however, another way to qualify for the Weekend League more comfortably – by playing the Weekend League itself. In FIFA 20, 11 wins (Rank Silver 1) were enough to directly receive the necessary 2,000 points. How this looks in FIFA 21, we cannot say yet.
What rewards are there? In the FUT Champions Weekend League, there are the strongest rewards that Ultimate Team has to offer. These usually mean special packs, a lot of coins, and guaranteed TOTW cards in Player Picks. We expect that this year there will be similarly strong rewards as last year.
Although rewards are already displayed in the menus, whether these are actually final is still questionable. Strangely, the TOTW player picks are missing here, and for Silver 1, there are only 1,500 FUT Champions points, which was different last year.
Do you already have a strong team for the Weekend League? If not, take a look at our Bundesliga starter team. It is not too expensive and can be really useful.
