Speed is one of the most important stats in FIFA 21. Which players will be the best sprinters in the next installment?

Why speed is important: Few stats are regarded as highly by FIFA players as speed. In offense, you need it to get past defenders. And in defense, it is critical to prevent just that.
Fast players are usually among the most popular players in Ultimate Team. The “Pace” consists of two values: sprint speed and acceleration. The former determines how fast a player can ultimately become, while the latter dictates how quickly he reaches that speed.
Official ratings for FIFA 21 are not yet available. But we have already summarized some stars that are likely to be among the fastest players in FIFA 21.
Kylian Mbappé
This is Kylian Mbappé: That this name is at the top should come as no surprise. Mbappé was already the fastest player in FIFA 20, sharing the first place.
Considering another strong year for the young forward, and the fact that he is the cover star of the game, his pace of 96 is likely to remain at least the same – if not increase by a point!
Adama Traoré
This is Adama Traoré: In FIFA 20, Adama Traoré quickly became a favorite among players. No wonder: the winger of Wolverhampton Wanderers had a pace of 96 with his base card, just like Mbappé. But his overall rating was significantly lower.
In the previous Premier League season, Traoré accumulated a total of 13 goal involvements and has caught the attention of many top clubs. It’s quite possible that he also will receive a point or two increase – although it will be tough for special cards to add to that. One thing is certain: Traoré will also be among the top sprinters.
Alphonso Davies
This is Davies: Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich was the surprise star of last season. At the start of the season, he was still playing in the 3rd league and by the end, he played in the Champions League final with the first team – and won the title as well.
Davies not only impressed in the Champions League with incredible speed. In the Bundesliga, Davies sprinted against Werder Bremen at 36.51 km/h – faster than any player in the Bundesliga since data collection began (Start: 13/14 season). It’s quite possible that this will soon be reflected on his card as well. He is definitely among the most promising talents.
Daniel James
This is Daniel James: Daniel James had a starter card with an overall rating of 72 in FIFA 20, but it already featured a speed rating of 94. The youngster is now one of the fastest players in the Premier League.
In FIFA 20, he earned special cards that made him a feared high-speed option in the Weekend League. His Future Stars card boasted a pace of 98, Summer Heat even 99. It probably won’t be that high at launch – but if his 94 increases, like it did in the winter upgrade, he would instantly be among the very top players.
Kingsley Coman
This is Kingsley Coman: With Kingsley Coman, Bayern Munich has another extremely fast player in their ranks – and they also get Leroy Sané, who is expected to be among the fastest players as well. However, Coman has one advantage: he won the Champions League this year and scored the decisive goal in the end.
It’s quite possible that this performance will be rewarded with a better card in FIFA 21, and Coman might receive a few additional points to his 92 pace. His extremely strong Champions League card ended up with a speed of 99. Kingsley Coman’s fastest sprint in the 19/20 season was recorded at 35.66 km/h. In connection with the Champions League victory, this could lead to an upgrade in speed.
Other candidates: Of course, there are many other sprinters who could challenge for the top in FIFA 21. This includes players like Achraf Hakimi, Moussa Diaby, Sadio Mané, or even Inaki Williams.
