In FIFA 21, new Freeze cards are landing today in Ultimate Team. These come with improved stats and new positions. Two cards stand out in particular.
Here are the new Freeze cards: After leaks had already hinted at it, there are now actually five new Freeze cards to be found in the packs of Ultimate Team. They join the current 3rd RTTF team, which is still available.
New additions include:
- Chiellini (89) as CDM
- Saint-Maximin (86) as Forward
- Dembélé (86) as Forward
- Gosens (85) as Center-Back
- Alex Moreno (84) as Right-Back
Additionally, a new SBC and a new weekly objective have been announced, through which you can secure more Freeze players. There is now Capa (85/CDM) as a challenge player and Aouar (86/ST) from the Squad Building Challenge.
All the cards are quite interesting overall. But two of them are likely to cause a bit more fear and panic in the coming days than the others.
Dembélé and Saint-Maximin get very strong cards
What makes both of them so dangerous: Both Dembélé and Saint-Maximin are among the absolute meta cards in FIFA 21. They are both extremely fast, skilled at dribbling, and also good at finishing. Both also have the feared status of being 5-star skillers, with Dembélé having 5 stars on his weak foot as well. Saint-Maximin has 4, making him not much worse off.
Both are usually found on the left wing or in left midfield. However, with the new Freeze card, they can play centrally in attack. As French players, they also offer good chemistry options for the left side. They can be easily integrated into various teams.
With the Freeze cards, both have also received an upgrade to 86. In short, both cards are likely to cause quite a bit of trouble when found in the opponent’s team.
The only question remains how many players will actually play them: Because on the transfer market, both cards are likely to become extremely expensive – and to get them in packs, you need a lot of luck.
