This is the problem: When you look around in the in-game shop of Ultimate Team, you only find the option to buy packs for FIFA Points. The usual option to buy packs with coins is completely missing.
- FIFA Points is an in-game currency that you can only purchase with real money.
- Coins are the currency you receive as rewards for matches, or also from Weekend League rewards and Division Rivals.
The error occurs in the game, but also in the web app and the companion app. Thus, the option to buy packs with earned coins is currently completely missing.
This is what EA Sports says: The team from EA Sports has already responded. Through the direct communication channel on FIFA 21, the team stated that the problem is currently being investigated.
Apparently, this is an unforeseen circumstance. However, it seems that a solution to the problem is still pending. We will keep you updated if new information becomes available.
A Week Full of Errors in FIFA 21
What is happening with FIFA 21 right now? The FIFA Point error in the shop is not the first controversy that arose around FIFA 21 in recent days. Recently, there were problems in the web app: players could suddenly access debug menu tools that should actually only be available to developers. Although the features were not active, they appeared.
Previously, there was an error where some players did not receive rewards from certain SBCs correctly. When this error was fixed, apparently there was another problem where players received more content than actually intended.
The community has pointed out a problem where a small number of players did not receive the rewards from SBCs.
When these players received their missing rewards, some unaffected players also received additional content. These players will be able to keep this content.
FIFA Direct Communication via Twitter
Before that, there was a problem where apparently someone was selling some of the strongest cards in FIFA 21 for real money directly to players. An investigation by EA has been underway for several days to see how this happened and who is responsible. You can find all information about the case of the icons in FIFA 21 here.
