Today, on July 16, 2021, the Futties begin in FIFA 21. This event is full of strong cards – and makes a change to the Ultimate Team store.
When do the Futties start? The Futties start on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 7:00 PM. This event is known from previous FIFA editions, where it took place multiple times in the summer.
What do the Futties bring? Among other things, players can choose certain cards throughout the event, which then receive improved values. Also in FIFA 21, such a feature is back: A player choice between Carvajal and Manolas appeared, which can also be equipped with changed positions.
In addition, there is a colorful mix of previous special cards during the Futties in the packs. Among other things, the following cards are included. Overall, however, significantly more cards are contained in the “Best of”.
Furthermore, there are supposed to be special SBCs based on certain favorites from the past months.
Gifts for players: Depending on how much you have played FIFA 21, you will receive gifts.
- Between 10 and 70 days in FUT, there’s a Jumbo Premium Gold Pack
- 71 – 160 days bring a Prime Gold Player Pack
- 161 – 235 days bring a Rare Mega Pack
- Over 236 days there is an Ultimate Pack
Changes in the store and packs for the Futties event
This is changing in the store: In the Pitch Notes, EA Sports explained an overhaul of the store in Ultimate Team. In this context, the preview packs play a role.
These preview packs were actually only announced for the recently completed “Festival of FUTBall” and players suspected that they would disappear afterward. However, that is not the case for now.
This is changing with the packs: From the start of the Futties, both “normal” packs and preview packs will be available in the store. Therefore, it may happen that both preview packs and normal packs of the same pack type are available at the same time.
The preview packs will be marked with a bar.
Why are these packs exciting? The preview packs allow players to see beforehand what is inside them. One can decide after the insight whether to really buy the pack. If there is no useful card inside, one can put the pack back and open another at a later time.
That they will now stay for a longer period is interesting. Because with that, they are no longer a completely event-bound feature for the Festival of FUTBall, but a feature that could appear again.
The packs received such a positive response from players upon their introduction that many wished for their return in FIFA 22.
