- On one hand, you will have more customization options for the players in your team.
- On the other hand, tactical elements will be introduced.
Both adjustments enhance Pro Clubs and also add more depth to the mode. This should please players who have played Pro Clubs as an alternative to Ultimate Team.
However, Ultimate Team can also be played cooperatively in the future, even if you are not connected locally. This makes the mode more interesting for players who enjoy playing with their friends.
What exactly is Pro Clubs? In Pro Clubs, you can compete against each other with any number of players. Ideally, this means that each team consists of 11 players, allowing you to control each player individually. However, you can also take control of just one player while the AI controls the rest.
The special aspect is that you start from the bottom with your team. With each league you ascend, the team also improves.
However, the mode lacked some depth in terms of tactics. This will change in FIFA 21.
New Tactical Elements and Team Adjustments
What changes in tactics? So far, you could adjust your formation in Pro Clubs. However, there were no specific tactics for how the team should react without the ball or how far the full-back should actually stay back.
With FIFA 21, this should change:
- You will receive 5 predefined tactics, which you can customize individually.
- You can give the AI precise instructions on how it should behave in the game.
- The previous options for formation will remain as before.
These innovations, combined with some gameplay adjustments in FIFA 21 overall, are expected to provide a lot of fun in the matches.
What changes for the players? Another innovation for your team is the ability to customize the players.
You can assign them your desired names and design their appearance according to your preferences. There are even different animations for how goals should be celebrated.
This is supposed to help you identify more with your team. The strength of your players, however, still depends on the progress of your team.
