FIFA 20 has received the new Title Update 13. It includes a tiny feature that doesn’t really have much impact – but brings joy to fans.
Update from March 17, 2020: Today, Update 1.17 (Title Update 13) was released for PS4 and Xbox One.
The new feature is the ping display, which many online players are likely to appreciate. Additionally, EA Sports fixes some minor bugs. These include sprint issues with the analog stick, as well as targeting problems during penalty kicks.
You can find the complete patch notes in the official FIFA forum.
When is the new update coming? Title Update 13 launched today on PC. As usual, players on PS4 and Xbox One will have to wait a little longer. The update will be applied in the coming days.
The update mainly includes bug fixes. However, a small feature is drawing attention.
Finally more information about the connection
This feature is about: On reddit, the most discussed topic about the new update is actually a small detail. With the new update, players can now see the ping in milliseconds in Ultimate Team. Previously, there were only five bars, which were only informative when they were either all full or all absent.
Now EA Sports explained the values in the patch notes:
- 5 bars mean 30 milliseconds or less
- 4 bars stand for 31-76 milliseconds
- 3 bars mean 77-100 milliseconds
- 2 bars correspond to 101-150 milliseconds
- 1 bar means: 150 milliseconds or more

The number is now also displayed next to the bars. A tiny change – with a significant responsiveness.
- “That’s pretty big by their standards,” finds user Patchh93 on reddit
- “Is that true? Fair play,” comments user Zackdaniels93
- “Welcome to 2002, EA Sports,” comments user Baktab
This feature is a display that many other games have offered for a long time. However, most players on reddit are glad that now at least something better can be understood about the connection. Some now wish that they could also see it in-game – but that feature is still missing.
The reason this change is treated this way lies in the fact that FIFA 20 is almost notorious for server issues. Players often get disconnected from matches without any prior indication from the connection. Or the gameplay suffers from lagging connections.
Connectivity issues often lead to frustrations:
