The Team of the Season has brought a ton of very strong cards to FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. If you want Bundesliga cards for your team, you should take a close look at the prices.
How strong was the Bundesliga TOTSSF: The Team of the Season So Far of the Bundesliga came out in mid-May and had some extremely strong cards to offer. This includes the 99-rated version of Lewandowski, but also strong versions of Werner, Haaland, Sancho, and many more.
The problem: Anyone who hasn’t drawn these cards or received them from their Weekend League Rewards can only look for them on the transfer market. However, there the cards have been extremely expensive, especially at the beginning – and still are in part. For example, Haaland cost around a million coins at release. At such prices, players take a second look. Meanwhile, the price looks a bit better – and could continue to drop.
Bundesliga-TOTSSF already cheaper – is there more to come?
This is what the prices for extremely expensive cards currently look like: If you are looking for TOTSSF Bundesliga reinforcements, you now have a bit more options than at release. Erling Haaland provides a very good example: The Dortmund player was priced at more than one million on the market and stayed there for a good week.

Over the next two weeks, the price continued to drop, so it currently costs only about 520,000 coins (on the PS4 transfer market). This is still a lot, but just half of the original price. The same applies to other top cards like:
- Timo Werner (from 1.5 million to about 925,000)
- Jadon Sancho (about 1.3 million to 845,000)
- Marco Reus (from about 1.2 million to about 680,000)
Additionally, there is the special case of Robert Lewandowski. His 99-rated card even started at well over 3 million and is now down to 1.7 million coins.

Will these cards become cheaper? First of all, it should be noted that the Ultimate TOTS Event has started. This is likely to push down the price of some TOTS cards even further.
The top cards have already lost a large part of their value but may continue to fall in the coming weeks. It is generally the case that all cards drop in price as the next FIFA installment approaches. However, particularly strong cards can sometimes hold their value.
A comparison can be made with the FIFA 19 TOTS card of Marco Reus from last year. He was released in May 2019 as the most expensive Bundesliga TOTS card and also steadily dropped in price. Within a month, he dropped from about 3.5 million to 2 million, but maintained this value fairly consistently.

It was only at the beginning of August that there was another extreme crash before heading towards FIFA 20. A similar development can also be expected for Lewandowski, who is currently the top card in the Bundesliga TOTSSF.
With other FIFA 19 top cards from the Bundesliga like Sancho, Lewandowski, or Havertz, it was such that after the first major drop in price after a month, the value was initially held until another significant break occurred a month later. If prices develop similarly this year, one could expect another break at the end of June/beginning of July.
What about cheaper Bundesliga cards? Here you have to differentiate a bit. First, there are cards like:
- Davies (about 450,000, now 400,000)
- Kimmich (about 470,000, now about 350,000)
- or Upamecano (about 390,000, now 338,000)
These players are not quite at the top level of the Bundesliga TOTSSF, but they are still expensive. They perform very well in the meta and are therefore a bit more stable in price and do not immediately drop by half their value. Here, a decline is expected, but it is not extreme. In contrast, cards like:
- Müller (from about 420,000 to about 216,000)
- Havertz (about 468,000 to 213,000)
Are cards that are very strong and were expensive but have dropped significantly in part. This can be due to the fact that there are better alternatives in their position. Such cards can be worthwhile if you don’t want the absolute top cards.
With such cards, however, you are slowly entering the comparatively lower range regarding TOTSSF players. There are also cards like Brandt or Ginter, all of which are below 100,000 coins and are already real bargains. The cheapest TOTSSF card from the Bundesliga is currently Florian Niederlechner with about 34,000 coins.
Looking at the TOTS cards from FIFA 19, you can see: A large portion of the players also dropped below 100,000 coins – but only around July. This was the case with Dortmund’s Axel Witsel:

So it depends on how urgently you need the TOTSSF Bundesliga players.
The first major price drop is already here. In the coming weeks, after the pattern of FIFA 19, it can be expected that most cards will drop – but not as abruptly as before. So if you wanted to sign a TOTSSF player from the Bundesliga in the coming weeks, you shouldn’t necessarily wait for significantly better prices.
If you just want a TOTSSF player in your team at some point, you could definitely benefit from waiting a few weeks longer. The closer the next FIFA installment approaches, the more prices are likely to fall.
This would then be the time for everyone who wants to save coins now to build a really strong team just at the end of the current FIFA season. Slowly, however, the focus is also shifting towards FIFA 21.
