In FIFA 20, you can currently secure strong versions of Diaby and Boëtius. The Summer Showdown SBC could be very worthwhile for Bundesliga fans.
This is the SBC: As part of the Summer Heat Event, EA Sports has come up with a new SBC concept. It is called “Summer Showdown” and works like this: Each week, a specific real football match is highlighted.
From each of the two teams, one player receives a strong Summer Showdown card. But that’s not all: The player from the team that ultimately wins the match receives an additional three overall points. In case of a tie, both cards receive an extra point.
The first Summer Showdown takes place in the Bundesliga. So, if you use a team with players from the first German professional league, you should pay close attention here.
Boëtius and Diaby in FIFA 20 are strong, both are worth it
These are the strengths of the two players: This coming Saturday, Bayer Leverkusen will face 1. FSV Mainz 05. This match is the center of this week’s Summer Showdown.
For Mainz 05, you can acquire the central midfielder Boëtius, while Leverkusen offers left winger Diaby. Both cards are already very strong in their current form:
Both cards come with strong offensive stats and both feature 4-star skills and 4 stars on the weak foot. Diaby has slight advantages in speed, Boëtius in shots. Both are suitable as good dribblers and playmakers.
Which card is more worthwhile? It depends on where you need reinforcement. With Boëtius, you have a good choice in the center, while Diaby comes from the wings – there was also a good alternative with Perisic.
The SBCs essentially cost the same, requiring both an 84-rated team with 80 (Diaby) or 75 (Boëtius) and a TOTW player. However, that isn’t really a decisive factor.
If you are aiming for the win bonus, Diaby likely has the better chances. After all, FSV Mainz has just escaped the relegation zone, while Leverkusen is still fighting for a place in the Champions League. However, a surprise from FSV is also possible.
For those who want to be completely safe, you can simply complete both SBCs. If you play a Bundesliga team, both players will definitely offer good options.
However, if you have no use for Bundesliga players, you should better wait with your SBC fodder for the upcoming summer SBCs. Speaking of waiting: The wait for the next installment of the football simulation is now sweetened by the first trailer for FIFA 21.
