After months of having a significant shortage of strong center-backs for the Bundesliga, a new, strong CB card is being released almost weekly in FUT 20. However, the new Boateng card is particularly strong.
Which card is it? It is the new Flashback card of Jérôme Boateng. This card is extremely strong and should enhance any Bundesliga or hybrid team with its outstanding attributes.
The card has been available in the game for a few days and can be unlocked via Squad Building Challenge.

This is what the card can do: Such a strong center-back card has not been available in FUT 20 for the Bundesliga yet. It has really good attributes and shines especially with strong stats in the areas of Speed (83), Defense (91), and Physicality (92). Additionally, Boateng is 1.92 m tall, which is also a significant advantage.
When comparing the new card with his standard Gold card, the jumps are particularly visible. Especially in these areas:
- Speed: 66 ⇾ 83
- Dribbling: 66 ⇾ 85
- Defense: 84 ⇾ 91
- Physicality: 82 ⇾ 92
This is how the card gets even better: If you use the chemistry style “Shadow”, the Flashback card improves significantly. You boost his speed to 94 and his defense to nearly maximum 98. With that, you have a defender at endgame level, capable of preventing many goals.

That’s why you should get the card: Even if you already have good Bundesliga defenders, you should consider acquiring the new Boateng card. Because it is, for example, significantly better than the recently released Shapeshifter-Zakaria (87) or Shapeshifter Alaba (88). It also significantly outperforms Flashback-Hummels (91) in terms of speed and defensive attributes.
Moreover, Flashback-Boateng can even compete with absolute top defenders in FUT 20. Boateng outperforms the strong Inform card of Van Dijk (approx. 600,000 coins) in several areas:

This is what you need to do: To include the Flashback card in your team, you need to complete two SBC tasks. The special thing about this SBC: You have as much time as you want. The challenge has no expiration date.
However, the card is still not cheap. On the PS4, you currently need around 330,000 coins. However, if you have strong untradeable cards in your club, you can make the SBC a bit cheaper.
