After the Weekend League rewards were distributed in FIFA 20 today, the next round of the competition is set for tomorrow. It will last three days as usual. That is a shame, some players think.
What was wrong with the Weekend League? Last week, there was a problem with FUT Champions, or rather in Ultimate Team in general. On Friday, when the Future Stars started, the matchmaking was temporarily disabled due to a bug.
As a result, Weekend League matches were not possible for a while. Many players were annoyed, but it also resulted in a positive side effect.
The problem was resolved during Friday evening, but quite a bit of time had already passed. Therefore, EA Sports exceptionally extended the Weekend League by one day until Monday evening. And some players didn’t mind that at all.
More time for the Weekend League?
This is how the players reacted: During a Weekend League, one can register for up to 30 matches. So anyone who wants to maximize their chances must invest a lot of time in the game.
Some players had already completed several matches on Friday and were happy about an extra day. Other players were pleased that they could use Monday, for example, because they often have other commitments on Fridays.
A corresponding post was made by Reddit user Markyp145, who also enjoyed being one day closer to completing the Weekend League Rewards. In the end, he raises the question of whether an extra day in the Weekend League might be beneficial.
The reactions are mostly positive. A brief overview:
- “The ability to spread the matches over four instead of three days is a game-changer for me as someone who has a wife and a house,” says user SconnieBro.
- “Friday to Monday is an option that should exist. It’s more relaxed, you have more time,” says user NuclearDisaster5.
- User Foxu also finds the idea good, but would prefer Thursday to Sunday. “Thursday to Sunday would be great. Then I could start right after the rewards,” agrees user JohnCasey14.
Some players report that they only registered for the Weekend League because it was extended. That way, they were able to complete the 30 matches for which there would otherwise be no time.
