Currently, strong cards in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team are noticeably cheaper. This also applies to Icons – like this one.
Why are legends becoming cheaper? The TOTSSF Event is currently ongoing, which has significantly lowered the prices of many top cards. The Icon players in Ultimate Team are also not unaffected by this.
Of course, the Icons have not become completely cheap. They still have strong stats and can link with all players. However, many have dropped in price and have become more affordable. If you’re looking for strong Icons at a good price, you’ll find these five legends appealing.
Raúl
Why Raúl is worth it: With Raúl, you get a legendary Spanish striker who has enchanted not only Real Madrid but also the Bundesliga. During his time at Schalke, he was a real attraction for the Royal Blues – and could also be for your team.
Raúl’s four Icon cards all play in the center forward position, so there are no different positions to consider here. All four versions provide solid stats across all offensive areas, especially his balance stat in the dribbling category stands out positively. His cards have all dropped significantly in price.
- The Base Icon version is available for under 100,000 coins
- Mid-Raúl is around 225,000
- Prime-Raúl dropped from over a million to about 500,000 coins
- Moments-Raúl costs over a million, but has also been more than double that in recent months.
Kluivert
Why Kluivert is worth it: Patrick Kluivert provides a dangerous weapon, especially in the finishing department. He has high reaction time, great shot stats, and is also dangerous in the air. He’s not the fastest sprinter, but if fed by passes in front of the goal, Kluivert can deliver a lot.
So if you’re looking for a typical goal scorer, Kluivert could be a great fit. His price is certainly hard to beat: Even his Prime version is under 200,000 coins. Prices overview:
- Base Kluivert is currently around 88,000 coins
- Mid Kluivert costs just under 100,000 coins
- Prime Kluivert is only 170,000, which was double in April.
- Moments Kluivert costs about half a million and is also only half the April price.
Nedved
Why Nedved is worth it: Nedved is a pretty strong winger who is quite unpredictable with four-star skills and five stars on his weak foot. In terms of dribbling, he’s a good choice and can provide your strikers with great assists. If you pull him centrally during the game, he can serve as a playmaker effectively to counter possible speed disadvantages.
However, the case is somewhat different with Prime Icon Moments Nedved. He plays in the central attacking midfield position anyway. However, he also costs quite a bit more. And unfortunately, the prices for Nedved have not yet dropped as much as for Kluivert:
- Base Nedved currently costs about 180,000 coins
- Mid Nedved is at 259,000 coins
- Prime Nedved costs you 315,000 coins.
- Moments Nedved is over a million.
However, it’s worth noting: Since April, prices have halved in some cases – and even back then, Nedved was worth his price.
Okocha
Why Okocha is worth it: Jay-Jay Okocha may not be on the radar for some players; he has been one of the cheaper Icons in the game for a long time. His Base card has an overall rating of 85, the Mid Icon card is 87, and the Prime version has a 90. Especially for a winger, Okocha might not have enough sprint speed. However, in the center, he is extremely dangerous.
Okocha is a fantastic dribbler, with five-star skills and all essential dribbling stats at a high level. With him, you can easily leave a few opponents behind. His shots are also formidable, and his free kicks are a weapon.
His cards are relatively cheap compared to other Icons, especially after the price drop in recent weeks:
- Base-Okocha is around 113,000 coins
- Mid-Okocha even costs only 85,000 coins, but has also been featured in Icon Swaps
- Prime-Okocha costs about 214,000 coins
- Moments-Okocha is around 500,000 coins
Baresi
Why Baresi is worth it: If you’re looking for a strong Icon for center-back, Baresi is a good choice. Many players often look for large center-backs to defend headers during corners, and at 1.76 meters, Baresi isn’t the tallest. However, headers are not as effective in FIFA 20 as in other FIFA titles – so there isn’t a major disadvantage.
Instead, Baresi shines with strong defensive stats and was once a pretty expensive Icon card. However, his price has dropped significantly and could become an option for more players – even if it doesn’t turn out to be completely cheap:
- Base-Baresi is priced at 209,000 coins
- Mid-Baresi currently costs 229,000 coins, which isn’t much more than the Base card
- Prime-Baresi costs you 304,000 coins
- And the Moments card costs 447,000 coins
In addition to these Icons, many other cards are also experiencing a sharp price drop. The TOTSSF Event brings many strong cards and SBCs that influence the market. Eder Militao has just received such an SBC and could be worth it for your team.
