In FIFA 20 the new Title Update 5 is available. This addresses many points regarding gameplay – we show you what’s inside.
When is the new update coming? According to the announcement, Title Update 5 is now available – at least on PC. On PS4 and Xbox One, the update will go live at a slightly later time as usual.
Title Update 5 influences gameplay
This is changing in gameplay: EA has again released a long list of adjustments. The last update addressed the career mode, this time gameplay in FIFA 20 is in focus again. Among other things, EA is tweaking the defense.
Changes in defense: This primarily affects the defensive tactic “Drop Back”. This tactic is very popular with many, as it promises much security defensively. After the update, the tactic will be changed so that the defending team will no longer apply pressure to attackers after losing the ball.
It is quite possible that this tactic will soon be slightly weaker defensively than before. More tips on tactics can be found here:
In addition, attackers who are supposed to help in defense will no longer do so if the defensive line is already sufficiently filled with players.
Another interesting point: Ball-carrying players who are successfully tackled will now stumble more often. This makes it more difficult for the attacker to regain the ball.
This is changing in shots: Shots are also being adjusted. This primarily affects long shots. Long shot stats should now relate to shots you take from 20 meters or more. Additionally, shots from a greater distance are less promising.
Further changes: Aside from the adjustments mentioned so far, other issues have been addressed.
- Goalkeeper behavior has been improved
- Errors have been corrected
- Adjustments of errors in FUT and VOLTA
- 37 new star heads will be added soon
Additionally, many other small changes can be found in the complete list from EA Sports.
Currently, the Ultimate Scream event is running. Have you already got an event player on your team?
