Which leagues are in FIFA 20? We present all licensed leagues and teams in the overview list – from the Bundesliga to the 3rd league and the Süper Lig. We also list the national teams and whether there are new leagues, teams, and changes regarding licenses.
So many leagues and teams does FIFA 20 have: As EA Sports announced at the end of July, they aim to create “unrivaled authenticity” in virtual football with an enormous licensing package of official leagues and teams. FIFA 20 will include:
- more than 30 official leagues,
- over 700 licensed teams
- and more than 17,000 authentic players.
- Additionally, EA Sports continues to hold the licenses for the Champions League and the Europa League.
Does FIFA 20 also lose licenses? Yes, it can indeed happen that there are no longer licenses for certain teams depending on the legal situation. This has happened with Juventus Turin – coats of arms, jerseys, logos, and stadiums will now consist of fantasy elements. This is what it looks like in the case of Piemonte Calcio (Juventus Turin). However, the players will still remain original.
In return, competitor Konami has secured the exclusive rights for their own football simulation eFootball PES 2020 for 3 years.
The same applies to River Plate (Núñez) and Boca Juniors (Buenos Aires FC) from Argentina.
Are there already new, announced leagues in FIFA 20? Yes, the Romanian league is considered confirmed. In polls, there is often a demand for a fully licensed league in Brazil. However, PES 2020 holds exclusive rights here.
When it comes to stadiums, the situation with new licenses is different. EA Sports has secured 13 new Bundesliga stadiums for FIFA 20. Check out our list of FIFA 20 stadiums.
When will the complete list of leagues and teams be released? We expect the official league list only in September. However, EA has published a graphic along with the above information that already shows some of the promised “over 30 leagues”:

Are new leagues included in FIFA 20?
Are there also new leagues? This is not the final list of all leagues and teams. So far, only the Romanian League 1 is regarded as confirmed. If EA makes further announcements, this article will be updated immediately.
Last year, new leagues were announced in June and late July. Whether EA Sports will secure new licenses for FIFA 20 alongside Romanian League 1 remains to be seen.

What is this league voting? The fifplay website started a survey on which leagues fans desire most for FIFA 20. So far, over 4 million players have voted, resulting in this voting result:

Will there be a women’s league in FIFA 20? So far, it is only known that there will be women’s teams in the national teams. In the Volta mode and in career mode, you can also play as a woman. However, information about women’s leagues is still missing.
Whether EA will surprise with one or the other licensing package will be revealed at the latest in September.
