In FIFA 20, the return of Team of the Week (TOTW) is approaching. But first, there are some really strong Weekend League rewards – once again.
That was the TOTW problem: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the football leagues that the Team of the Week is based on were largely suspended. Accordingly, there was also no weekly TOTW anymore, it was replaced by TOTW Moments and, for a few weeks now, TOTS cards.
When will the TOTW return? As football activities are now resuming in many places, the TOTW is also set to return. This was announced via Twitter:
With many top football leagues still ramping up towards restarting, our current plan is for Team of the Week to return on 24 June.
Weekend League rewards this coming weekend (12 June-14 June) will be the same as the ones available for the 5 June-7 June competition.

On June 24, the Team of the Week is set to appear again. It is likely to be released weekly again, always on Wednesdays. But that was not all that EA Sports announced.
One more chance for the best cards
What the Weekend League brings: Next weekend, the Weekend League Rewards are set to be available again, just like last weekend. This means: If you participate in the Weekend League between June 12 and June 14, you can again receive cards from the Ultimate TOTS and the Rest-of-the-World TOTS in your Weekend League rewards.
Depending on how many wins you achieve, your chances of getting cards from the Ultimate TOTS in your red Player Picks increase. This means there is another opportunity to draw extremely strong cards like Messi, Ronaldo, De Bruyne, and more from the picks.
The chances of pulling high-rated cards are at least better than pulling them from packs. So the Weekend League is definitely worth it. Because how the TOTW cards, which will likely return to rewards at the end of June, can still compete with the current top cards is at least questionable.
Recently, however, the Weekend League caused some controversy. More precisely: A professional sensed fraud among the top 100 in this important mode and presented evidence that the ranking of a player might not have been legitimate.
