In FIFA 20, the “Summer Heat” event brings pretty strong cards for quite low prices. How unusual the event is can be seen from the new card for Bayern star Perisic.
This is Summer Heat: Summer Heat is a new promo that can best be understood as “Best-Of-Ultimate-Team.” Currently, for example, special cards from past promos are in the packs and also appear in the Weekend League rewards.
There are also new weekly objectives that can net you strong players. However, the heart of the event are the many new SBCs. The Summer Heat SBCs offer powerful versions of players that are based on old, popular special cards. That they would be this cheap – even the most optimistic FIFA fan probably didn’t expect that.
You don’t have to think twice about Perisic
This is what makes Perisic so good: Let’s take the new Summer Heat variant of Ivan Perisic as an example. The Bayern player comes with almost perfect stats for offense. He is fast, can shoot, knows how to dribble, and can also deliver the final pass.
Also, in terms of attributes like balance, positioning, and stamina, Perisic is equipped with high stats. Additionally, he has a weak foot with five stars, making him dangerous from any position, and four-star skills. In short: The 94-rated Perisic is an incredibly strong card.
Normally, such a card would have cost a lot. In past events, one would have had to swap many highly rated teams for this. But the Summer Heat SBC only requires a simple 85-rated team from you. It equates to about 120,000 coins in total, and that’s only if you have absolutely no SBC fodder left in your club. That’s incredibly cheap for such a card.
What the community says: Perisic is not the first strong card of the event. A new version of Ndombele (93) came as an SBC and is also inexpensive, along with strong players in the weekly objectives. No wonder the event is extremely well received – because normally it is nearly impossible to obtain such strong cards.

Many players would have wished for such a strong event earlier in the game. Some also connect the new, suddenly strong event with the introduction of FIFA 21 and suspect that EA wants to create a good atmosphere.
