In FIFA 20 there is now a break for the Team of the Week or the TOTW Moments. We explain to you why the Team of the Week is paused and when it will start again.
TOTW and TOTW Moments are on hold: Since EA Sports has not been able to release a regular Team of the Week since March 11 due to the Corona-related break in football, there have been the Team of the Week Moments since March 18. This replaced the normal TOTW, also appeared weekly, and was based on TOTWs from earlier FUT parts.
This is now coming to an end, as EA Sports announced. Today, April 29, no new Team of the Week Moments will be released in FUT 20.
What happens next with the Team of the Week
Why is the TOTW Moments on hold? A reason why the TOTW Moments is paused has not been provided by EA Sports. However, it can be assumed that there are already plenty of new special cards in FUT 20 based on the actual performances of real football players with the TOTTSF event.
Additionally, the new special cards of the “Team of the Season So Far” released weekly will replace the TOTW rewards from the FUT Champions Weekend League Rewards. This means that players will no longer receive TOTW Moments cards as rewards for performing well in the Weekend League.
Starting from 11 wins, there are already the much stronger new TOTSSF cards.
When will the TOTW continue? EA has announced that starting from June 10 (at the end of the TOTSSF event), the Team of the Week should appear again in the usual rhythm. If enough leagues have resumed play by then, the classic TOTW will appear weekly, and if not, the TOTW Moments will continue.
However, EA Sports does not explain how many leagues are meant by “enough.”
