Which players will get the highest ratings in FIFA 20? The community is already guessing – we have looked at 10 tips more closely.
Ratings not yet known: Last year, EA Sports released the Top 100 Ratings of the game in the weeks leading up to the release of FIFA 19. It is likely to happen similarly this year. We expect it in early September.
The official FIFA 20 ratings are still unknown, but the community has already made plenty of rating predictions, and a picture is emerging of who could become the top players in the upcoming FIFA. We have summarized a possible top ten – excluding icons, who are also likely to be quite strong.

10: Antoine Griezmann
The possible place 10: With a rating of 89, Griezmann finished last year in 18th place among the best players and thus narrowly missed the top 10. He was extremely popular in FIFA 19 nonetheless. This year, the Frenchman is likely to be among the top 10: The striker moved for 120 million from Atlético Madrid to FC Barcelona – such expensive transfers often also impact player ratings in FIFA. Furthermore, the quality of the left-footed player is absolutely indisputable; a 90 is definitely possible.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 90

9: Virgil van Dijk
The possible place 10: Van Dijk was likely one of the most important players last season – not only in real football but also in FIFA 19. The defender was feared – especially in the form of various special cards. It is definitely expected that he will increase his rating to 90, if not even 91 – especially since he is one of the cover stars of FIFA 20. This would see the Champions League winner, originally rated 85 in FIFA 19, jump from 82nd place among the best players into the top 10.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 91

8: Robert Lewandowski
The possible place 8: In FIFA 19, Robert Lewandowski finished with an overall rating of 90 in 11th place on the top 100 list. Very likely, given his 40 goals in 47 competitive matches last season, that the FC Bayern striker will reach 90 again – and possibly even jump up a point.

The only thing that could stand in his way: The striker is now 31 years old – and sometimes EA tweaks the ratings a bit just because of age. How strong might Lewandowski’s Bayern teammates become?
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 91
Update: Here you can find the official Bayern ratings in FIFA 20.
7: David de Gea
The possible place 7: David de Gea did not have an optimal season – just like his club Manchester United as a whole. At the FIFA 19 release, de Gea had a rating of 91 and was the best keeper in the game. He is likely to retain this position since there is no doubt he is an absolute world-class keeper. A downgrade is unlikely, but it is possible he could get an overall rating of 90.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 91

6: Kevin De Bruyne
The possible place 6: In FIFA 19, Kevin De Bruyne started with a rating of 91, securing 5th place on the list of the best players. His club, Manchester City, secured the English championship by performing extremely well. However, De Bruyne could only contribute to this in a limited way: Several injuries kept the Belgian sidelined repeatedly.

For this reason, he is unlikely to rise in rating. A downgrade is also not expected, which is why De Bruyne is likely to again be among the top players in the game next year.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 91
5: Luis Suarez
The possible place 5: 25 goals and 13 assists in 19 competitive matches show: Luis Suarez from FC Barcelona is still an absolute weapon on the pitch at the age of 32. The Catalans won the championship in Spain thanks in part to his goals. It is possible that his decline may slowly begin, and he falls from last year’s 91 to 90 – but we do not necessarily expect that yet. The technically gifted striker is likely to have a spot among the ten best players in FIFA 20.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 91

4: Eden Hazard
The possible place 4: The Belgian Hazard has been the defining player for Chelsea FC in recent years. Even in FUT 19, he was one of the most popular offensive cards on the left side in Premier League teams – but that is now ending.

Not because Hazard is likely to become worse – absolutely not. However, he moved to Real Madrid and is now proving his skills in La Liga – by the way, a strong OTW card is also in the works! As a cover star of FIFA 20, his last year’s 91 rating, which secured him 6th place in the ranking, could rise by at least a point. This would make Hazard the fourth best player in FIFA 20 – unless our number three faces a surprise.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 92
3: Neymar
The possible place 3: The Brazilian was number three in FIFA 19 with an overall rating of 92 and is likely to be so again in FIFA 20. What speaks against it: Hazard might eventually overtake him – and Neymar could even lose a rating point. He did score 15 goals in 17 matches in Ligue 1 but missed a large part of the season due to injury. He also had to watch the Copa America, which Brazil won, from the sidelines. Will the superstar possibly drop out of the top 3?
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 92

2: Cristiano Ronaldo
The possible place 2: This kind of discussion about the top duo is, of course, nonexistent. As always in recent years, the decision of who is best will once again come down to two names: Lionel Messi – or Cristiano Ronaldo?

Ronaldo was the cover star last year but had to vacate his spot during the season for the trio of De Bruyne, Dybala, and Neymar. In the game itself, CR7 remained extremely dangerous and an absolute guarantee for goals. In real football, he had a good season, winning the Italian championship with Juventus and scoring 21 goals in 31 league games.

But especially Juventus could become a problem for Ronaldo. Because: The rights to the club lie with the competition, and EA can only present the Italian champions under the name “Piemonte Calcio”, with fantasy jersey and logo. That looks stylish and was well received by fans – but EA is likely not happy about the loss. It is therefore possible that Ronaldo will lose his top position.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 94
1: Lionel Messi
The possible place 1: Despite the equal rating, Messi was only ranked number 2 behind Ronaldo in the top 100 last year. Unlikely that he won’t get the first place this year. Because: Despite his 32 years, Messi had a consistently positive season with FC Barcelona.

In 50 competitive matches, Messi scored 51 goals and provided 22 assists. 36 of these goals were scored by the Argentine in 34 league matches. This performance will definitely lead to Messi retaining his FIFA 19 rating of 94 – and perhaps even increasing it to 95.
Possible rating in FIFA 20: 95
