In FIFA 20 a new Title Update is available. The upcoming patch doesn’t change much – but at least the free kicks will be adjusted again.
When is the new update coming? Title Update 8 is now available for PC. As usual, it will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One at a later date.
This is what’s in Title Update 8
This is the most important change: You won’t find too many gameplay changes in the latest Title Update. However, one adjustment has sneaked in that should be noticeable: FIFA 20 has adjusted the free kicks again.
Specifically, it’s about the extra poorly taken set pieces – they were landing in the net with nice regularity recently. Players could simply use red timed finishings during free kicks to score goals. According to EA, these should now fly more off-target again. So you will have to focus more on well-taken free kicks.

What else is changing? Some minor changes have also been added.
- Referees are supposed to show fewer yellow cards for light fouls.
- The sensitivity during penalty shoots has been reduced.
- The maximum speed of free kicks is now higher.
In addition, several bugs in Ultimate Team have been fixed. This includes issues like incorrectly adding consumables and incorrect team chemistry displays.
Changes in career mode: In the career mode, players often faced the issue of games being scheduled too close together. This has also been adjusted. Additionally, small bug fixes have been made.
What else is changing? Several rendering issues in different modes have been fixed. Additionally, 29 new star heads have been added again.
Aside from the gameplay, there is a lot going on in FIFA 20. What’s the deal with cats in the game?
