EA has released the new Title Update 5 for PC in FIFA 19 today. The patch mainly makes changes to precision shots. We summarize the changes.
The Title Update 5 for FIFA 19 on PC is here. Consoles should be updated a week later. The changes mainly affect the “First time finesse shots.” These are precision shots that are taken directly without controlling the ball.
Already the Title Update 3 made some changes to the shooting behavior. In the pitch notes, EA explains in detail which changes have now been made with the new update.
The changes to finesse shots
This changes: If a finesse shot is taken with direct control, the shot is now less accurate after the update.
What does this even mean? The angle now determines more strongly whether the shot hits its target or not. Overall, the ball will miss its target more often for finesse shots that are taken without ball control after the update. EA has illustrated this in a graphic:
Before the update:

After the update:

This was tested in the graphic with Eden Hazard from Chelsea FC. The blue lines indicate a hit, while the red lines indicate a miss. The shots were taken from an angle of 86.25°.
This is how to score the perfect goal.
Skill Elastico is being revised
In addition to finesse shots, there are also changes to the Elastico skill.
This changes: Apparently, EA has responded to player feedback here. Players reported that the ball was too far away from the player when the skill was executed. This should no longer happen after the update. The update adjusts the distance between the ball and the player when the skill is used.
In this video, EA shows with a 5-star skill player how the changes affect gameplay. You can find the detailed patch notes as always on the official page.
