EA has just released a trailer for the story mode of FIFA 19 featuring Alex Hunter. In The Journey 3, it takes the player to Real Madrid and into the Champions League.
Update 21.8.: Here you can find the second trailer for The Journey 3 from Gamescom. And here you can see gameplay footage of The Journey Champions.
“The Journey 3” – the story mode in FIFA 19 – is the last in the series about the young Alex. What happened in “The Journey 1 and 2” has been summarized for you.
On August 6, EA released the first trailer for “The Journey 3”. There we see the protagonist in the Real Madrid kit hunting for the trophy – and without Cristiano Ronaldo.
In FIFA 19 probably no free club choice for Alex Hunter anymore
Hunter is presented at Real: In the nearly 30-second long trailer, we see Alex at his presentation at the Bernabeu. It is obvious that he has moved to Real Madrid, and his teammates, including Raphael Varane and Dani Carvajal, welcome him.
No club choice anymore? That the transfer to Real is confirmed comes through clearly in the trailer. For players, this probably means that they are forced to play for Real Madrid in “The Journey 3.” In the first two parts, there was still some freedom of choice regarding the club.
The goal is the Champions League: The finale of the story series will ideally end with winning the Champions League. At least that is how EA promotes the third part.
Alex Hunter is back in FIFA 19 and he is chasing UEFA Champions League success after signing with Real Madrid. Don’t miss the dramatic finale of Hunter’s story in “The Journey: Champions.”
By the way: Thanks to a marketing deal, you can buy a jersey of Alex Hunter in the Real Madrid store.
Cristiano Ronaldo does not appear
CR7 planned as a main character? Originally, Ronaldo was probably firmly planned in the story. Alex was supposed to win the Champions League side by side with EA’s cover star. However, due to the transfer to Juventus Turin, this plan has fallen through, CR7 does not appear in the trailer in either Real or Juventus kit.
Whether he still plays a role in the story will be seen at the latest at release. FIFA 19 will be released on September 28 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
