The Final Chapter of Alex Hunter
Interwoven Stories: In FIFA 19, the story of Alex Hunter comes to an end. For the last time, you get to accompany the talented forward – just like his half-sister Kim and his buddy Danny Williams.
All three characters play a significant role in this year’s Journey, with their stories intersecting multiple times. You even get to play briefly as Alex’s grandfather – in a special retro setting, which allows you to experience football like in the sixties.
Three Heroes on the Path to Glory: In FIFA 19, you witness how Alex Hunter finally becomes a global star. At the end of last year’s Journey, Alex received a mysterious call from a “super agent” – who is now trying to place him with the biggest clubs in the world. Kim Hunter and Danny Williams are also taking the next steps in their careers.
All Chapters and Duration
How many chapters does the story mode have? This year’s Journey is divided into 4 different chapters, along with a short prologue. Last year there were still six chapters, but in The Journey 3, three storylines are told in parallel. Each chapter brings you special rewards.
How long does “The Journey 3” take? You can expect around 12-14 hours of gameplay – depending on how intensively you engage with the various options in the “Journey” mode. In the embedded video, the player takes 12 hours for all chapters. The duration is therefore roughly comparable to that of The Journey 1 and 2.
When you add up all the cutscenes, they alone account for about 4 hours.
The first chapter lasts about 2 hours, for the subsequent ones you can expect about three hours.
All Rewards in “The Journey 3”
The Prizes for “The Journey 3”: At the end of each chapter, there are rewards. All rewards can be used in the Ultimate Team mode:
Reward in Chapter 1
- Chapter 1 – Reward: 1x Jim Hunter’s classic ball and 1x Jim Hunter Ultimate Team card
Not only in The Journey can you control Alex Hunter’s grandfather Jim: You also get the opportunity in Ultimate Team. The Classic Ball adds even more retro flair to your game. Jim Hunter’s Ultimate Team card comes with an overall rating of 77 and offers offensive attributes around 80.
Reward in Chapter 2
- Chapter 2 – Reward: 1x Gold Loan Player “Player Pick” Pack
The second chapter brings you a loan player pack for your Ultimate Team. With a bit of luck, you can draw real reinforcements for your team from this pack – but only for a limited number of matches.
Reward in Chapter 3
- Chapter 3 – Reward: 1x Gold Loan Player “Player Pick” Pack
If you haven’t drawn a top FIFA 19 player from the Chapter 2 pack, you get another opportunity. Chapter 3 also brings you a loan player pack:
Reward in Chapter 4
- Chapter 4 – Reward: 1 x Alex Hunter Ultimate Team card and 1x Danny Williams
At the end of the Journey, you receive the Ultimate Team cards of Hunter and Williams – just like last year. Both English players could be reinforcements for teams in the Premier League. However, Williams’ card does not have very high stats. Alex, on the other hand, could be a valuable asset with his 82 rating – especially at the start of the FUT season.
