For a few days now, the Swap Deals event has been running in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team. How do you get the best rewards and players like Paco Alcacer? A guide.
What Swap Deals are: The FUT Swap Deals started on October 6 and are expected to last the whole month.
So you have all of October to secure the FUT Swap Players. In the following months, there will also be Swap Deals events repeatedly. You can find more information in our overview:
This is the goal: You want to earn so-called “swap items” in FIFA 19. You can then exchange these for “swap players.” The first step is about how to get “swap items” in FIFA 19.
Step 1: Earn swap items in FIFA 19
To earn items with which you can exchange for rewards like one of the four monthly players or various packs, there are several ways.
What to note: All opportunities are only available for a limited time. Daily and weekly objectives as well as certain Swap Deals SBCs may rotate and not be available on certain days. This means: Keep your eyes open and react quickly.
In the FUT Center, the game usually shows you which opportunities for swap deals items are currently available.
This means: If a daily goal with swap deals reward is currently active, you will probably not find a swap deals SBC at that time.
Option 1: Defeat the presented Squad Battles Team
- Each week, there is a featured team in Squad Battles made up of real stars. These teams are packed with strong players and can be quite difficult to beat at high difficulty levels. So think about what difficulty level you can handle. Also, check whether you are currently earning a swap item for the presented Squad Battles team, or if other objectives are active.
Option 2: Achieve high Squad Battles ranks
- Another way to earn swap deals items is through Squad Battles by finishing high ranks. For example, this week you can earn the player Kévin Rodrigues, who is worth a swap deals item. However, you need to finish the week in rank 3 or higher – then the card should be among the rewards next Monday.
Option 3: Special SBCs
- The third option requires a bit of building skill in Squad Building Challenges: In the first week, for example, you could earn the player Pedro Chirivella through an SBC, who is also worth a swap deals item.
Option 4: Daily and weekly objectives
- Through daily and weekly objectives, you can also earn swap deals items – but these are only available for a limited time. For example, through the daily objective “Swap Deals Player,” you could obtain the player Dženis Burnić from Borussia Dortmund by winning three Division Rivals matches. This task has now ended, but similar objectives should return in the coming days.
Step 2: Exchange items for players in FIFA 19
This is how you exchange your items: Once you have earned some swap items, you can make your first trades through SBC. The SBC for Paco Alcacer costs only three items and is thus already fulfillable.
This is how the SBC works: Open the Squad Building Challenge. There you place your earned items in the appropriate spots. Submit them and receive the desired player – in this example, that’s Paco Alcacer. However, rewards in the form of packs or other players are also possible.
Thus, you should consider saving items: You should always keep in mind: Once you give away your swap items, you cannot get them back. The SBC for Stephan El Shaarawy, for example, costs 12 items – so you would need to save up a few items first. Also, Top players in FIFA 19 in the coming months are expected to be expensive.
Saved items likely not usable in the future: The event will continue in the coming months, but the swap items cannot be used for the next SBCs. So exchange your swap player items in time.
