This month, EA Sports released the FIFA 19 Bundesliga POTM. And once again, Marco Reus has won the title. The card is really strong and has top stats. But the fans have had enough.
The POTM hat-trick: “He has done it again!” With these words, EA Sports announced via Twitter the Bundesliga “Player of the Month” for December 2018.
The winner: Marco Reus – just like in September and in November.
Reus receives the coveted title “Player of the Month” for the third time.
This card is so strong: The new card raises the bar again: With a total rating of 91, the 3rd POTM card is one point stronger than the November version. Pace, dribbling, shooting, passing – all absolutely top.
Reus SBC extremely expensive
How you get POTM Reus: As usual, you need to complete four part SBCs to unlock the Reus card. This month it is particularly expensive: According to Futbin, the new POTM SBC costs you around one million coins.
Moreover, there is once again a missing option that many wished for in November: It is still not possible to exchange an old POTM Reus card for the new one.
Fans have had enough of Reus
This is how FIFA fans react: Last month, some FIFA players expressed their dissatisfaction with the repeated choice of Reus. The POTM award has been given four times so far, and four times players from Borussia Dortmund have won: three times Reus, once Jadon Sancho.
With competition from Lewandowski, Alaba, Kruse, Kimmich, and Gerhardt, players had hoped that Reus’ dominance in FIFA 19 would be interrupted. But once again, the BVB captain prevailed.
These are the funniest comments: While some players vent their anger about the choice on social networks, many take it with humor:
- For example, a player pointed out the many special cards: “Think of the perfect links between Inform-Reus, POTM-Reus, POTM2-Reus and Champions-League-Reus.” Reus now has seven cards in FUT. And there could be more to come.
- Some players suggest renaming it to “Reus of the Month.” That would have one positive outcome: By June at the latest, Marco Reus would then have the best FIFA card of all time.
