Highlights in the Top 20 to 11:
- Manuel Neuer loses two points in FIFA 19 compared to FIFA 18 in his overall rating. Although he hardly played last season, he still gets a 90 rating in FIFA 19.
- Lewandowski loses one point in the overall rating compared to FIFA 18. He significantly loses pace, and his dribbling decreases by one point. However, his shooting attribute increases by 1, and he even gets +3 in defense.

The best German field player in FIFA 19, based on overall rating, is Toni Kroos. Although the CDM still has the same rating as in FIFA 18, his individual stats have been upgraded. His pace improves significantly from 50 (FIFA 18) to 67 (FIFA 19). Shooting, dribbling, defense, and passing are also upgraded by one point each. In physicality, Kroos loses one point.
The two best players in FIFA 19 are Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, both with a rating of 94.
- Ronaldo has almost identical stats to FIFA 18. Passing and physicality have decreased by one point each, but defense has increased by two points.
- Messi’s overall rating increases by one point compared to FIFA 18. His pace decreases by one point, but shooting (1 point), passing (2 points), dribbling (1 point), and defense (6 points) increase.

EA Sports has released an amusing video about the ratings, in which the football stars complain about their values. For example, Cristiano Ronaldo complains that he doesn’t have a rating of 100. Or Thomas Müller grumbles about his physicality of 71.
