The career mode is an important part of FIFA for many players. It is one of the most extensive modes and tries to simulate the daily life of football in various leagues.
Players can either manage entire club teams as a coach or directly step onto the pitch as a player, working their way up from the third league to the first league.
However, for many, the mode by EA Sports has been neglected with too little care. In recent years, the career mode has been treated rather poorly. The updates have been lackluster year after year, giving players the feeling that the mode is no longer important to EA.
Nevertheless, with every FIFA comes the hope of being positively surprised. So what will it be like in FIFA 19?

EA focuses on authenticity and the Champions League for the career mode
The Champions League will play an important role: In an interview with usgamer.net Matthew Prior discussed what updates await us in the upcoming career mode. The emphasis is particularly on the implementation of the Champions League.
Previously, this was merely generic. With the new license, the Champions League will be fully integrated into FIFA 19. This alone adds to the realism.
Revamping of the user interface and cutscenes: The menu and video sequences seem to be getting another refresh, especially in connection with the presentation of the Champions League, which should provide realism and a great atmosphere.
Prior even describes the career mode as being more authentic than in any previous FIFA.
But I think this time, career mode is the most authentic it’s ever been. So that in itself is a big update, and not just the fact that it’s in there, but the way we’ve implemented it. The whole UI takeover, the cinematic scenes within the UI showing the Europa League draw.
More information at Gamescom: Unfortunately, Prior did not want to reveal more; they want to keep everything else until Gamescom.
Whether the fans’ wishes for FIFA 19 will be heard remains to be seen. We are looking forward to Gamescom!
