When does FUTmas 2018 start? In FIFA 19, FUTmas started on December 14, 2018, at 7 PM. The event is expected to end in early January.
FUTMAS in FIFA 19 – All Info at a Glance
This is what the promotion offers: FUTmas brings, similar to the Black Friday event, a mix of specials. This year you can expect the following offers:
- Lightning Rounds: Some of the best packs, available for a short period of time. Here, the rule is: First come, first served.

- New Prime Icon SBCs
- The special top team jerseys – now available in packs

Most exciting, however, is the annual FUTmas countdown.
The FUTmas SBC Countdown
This is the FUTmas countdown: In recent years, the FUTmas event has been characterized by a special countdown. From the start of the event, there were three special players available each day that could be unlocked through SBCs.
The countdown has followed the players’ jersey numbers in the past: On the first promotion day, SBCs with players wearing jersey numbers 30, 29, and 28 are expected. This setup continues until December 25, 2018. This year, however, it seems that the countdown does not follow the jersey numbers – there will still be daily SBCs!
These three SBCs have differentiated themselves in the past in terms of difficulty and reward value. This means: For every player, whether on a small or large budget, there should be at least one feasible SBC with an exciting player available each day.
Update December 14, 7 PM: The first three SBCs, and thus the first three FUTmas players are known. They are:

These players could be in the countdown SBCs: The FUTmas countdown is a kind of delayed Advent calendar. Which players are ultimately behind the doors is difficult to predict. Nevertheless, some players have already made predictions. Considered were the jersey numbers, the popularity of the players, and whether they were part of the promotion last year.

Trading Tips for the FUTmas Event
How to use the market to your advantage: The FUTmas event usually shakes up the market significantly. This applies particularly to the dates from December 24 to 26, 2018, and January 1, 2019 – on these days, EA releases the best packs.
However, past events have shown that the transfer market remains more stable this year even during promotions than in previous years. Nevertheless, you can gain some advantages. The event is often used to earn the necessary coins for the upcoming Team of the Year event.
SBC cards are in demand: The FUTmas countdown could have a direct impact on the transfer market. Most SBCs will require a total rating of at least 83. If you secure some 83-rated cards from La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League, or Serie A before the SBCs start, you might be able to sell these at a higher price on the right days.
Currently, you can still get such players relatively cheaply for around 900 coins. Even if the price does not rise, you have a relatively low risk here and can resell the cards at least for the same price if necessary.
Even TOTW players will become expensive: Even inexpensive Inform cards, for example from TOTW 13, can be sold for more money on certain days of the event. The reason: Especially the more expensive SBCs often require at least one Inform player for the solution. If you have the right player for one of the countdown SBCs, you can also sell him for a profit.
